Highwave AutoDogMug, Blue (Set Of 2)

While this product is described as "Made in America", the bottles I received are embossed "Made in China". Even worse, after several washings, they're still giving off such a horrible chemical smell (like burnt tire rubber) that one of my dogs won't go near them, so I'm relunctant to use them.Given that the product is both defective and not as described, I am requesting a refund.Update: Given that this product was endorsed by O Magazine (and we all know Oprah doesn't endorse junk) I assumed that the horrible bottle I received was either a newer version or a counterfeit. I have since learned that the latter is the case, so I want to make it clear that my review should be treated as a reflection of my purchase experience and the product I received, and not the Highwave brand. When Amazon stops people from listing counterfeits, I will repurchase and revise my rating.

Ran into another dog walker who had one of these. I thought was a great design and perfect for us! He said it was great and got it through Amazon. So when I got home I ordered two.Not sure if this is a cheaper version but this is my feedback. The plastic if very flimsy and after squeezing to get water in to the bowl it does not expand again until refilled. Not sure if this is by design. Also there is no way to cap the flow of water so the container can be carried without spilling water. The thing thing that bugs me the most is that the top and bottom come apart way too easily. If it dropped and squeezed the wrong way.I was so looking forward to getting this for my dogs daily walks. I am so disappointed. Waste of money.

I love that this particular water bottle allows the water to flow back into the bottle when my dog is done drinking. Other brands state that theirs are more hygienic because you have to pour the water out, but for me these are more useful because I'm not wasting a bunch of water if my dog doesn't drink it all right away. I can wash the bottle myself often to keep it clean. My dog has even figured out that he can nose the bottle to ask for water when he wants some.

Actually, this is the second time I have purchased this. Last time I bought 3 and gave two away. This time I'm keeping both. Living in FL it can get pretty steamy out there so I carry it when my Boxer and I head to the beach. He loves it. Unfortunately I took a fall on the way home a week ago (graceful I am not) and broke the nub the straw goes on to feed the water into the bowl. I guess I could have glued it back together but I didn't think of that until after I had tossed it and ordered these. Now if I could just figure out a better way to attach it to my pack so I could easily access it but not have it bouncing off my legs as I walk.....

I purchased a product made by the same company at Tennessee Tails in Jonesborough, TN for myself and my labs. It has a twist valve in the watering bowl to open and close water from coming into the bowl. These didn't have that valve, so I don't know if it is leak proof. I bought these bottles as a gift for my 2 lab's breeder. They were traveling 14 1/2 hours to purchase a lab pup, and then returning to Virginia. I actually don't know how the bottles worked. They were thrilled with the gift when they received it, so I hope it worked well.

I would really like to give these 5 stars, because they are very easy to use, my dog loves them, the hook makes it easy to take on the go, but unfortunately there is no way to seal the little nozzle where the water comes from when you squeeze it. So you can’t leave water in this to bring on a hike, or throw in your backpack without it leaking everywhere. I’m really disappointed because we have 3 of them, and they all have the same issue.

I saw the you rube video on these and was sold. I have 2 puppies in Florida and its such a pain trying to go for a walk or even just a ride due to the heat as its hard to get them water. These are simple to use, decent quality, and make it safe for me to take my car loving l, walk loving, outside running pups out whnever i want and know they will have water to cool down. This is the best thing ever for any pet owner who likes to take their fur babies with them.

I am returning these items cause 1 of them looks like a newer model and works, however the other bottle must be an older version and when operating/squeezing water comes out the sides and goes everywhere. The older model is darker and also has scratches on the top edge of it.

Convenient, light, dogs love it. Because it’s light, my puppy chewed the first one, but I’m more careful with the new one. It’s nice to have fresh water wherever we go.

Fabulous...works perfectly. No fuss. No mess. Our pet has no trouble drinking from the cup.
