Disney's Lady & the Tramp and Lady and the Tramp2 [DVD]

love these two films, Disney films are great for all the family.

VERY GOOD DVD

The transfer of this movie is really superb and the transfer / remastering fooled me into thinking the film was made in 2011 not 1955!As this is the first Disney animated movie to be made in cinema Scope Widescreen there is no black screen borders or Disney View (2.55:1 instead of 1.33:1) on either side like earlier releases such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Alice In Wonderland and Fantasia, same goes for the 2001 sequel Lady and Tramp 2 Scamp's Adventure.Lady and the tramp is basically a romantic tale between a upper class dog "Lady" and the lovable street dog "Tramp" who are joined by a memorable cast of heroes in the mold of "Jock" and the "Beaver" whilst the villans are in no doubt the Siamese Cat Twins complete with signature theme song "we are Siamese" in 7.1 DTS Master Audio soundtrack.For a mere £1 (At the time I purchased this film) you get the "made for home viewing" sequel which looks great but the story of a strained relationship between father (Tramp) and son (Scamp) has been done before and Disney has not tried to do something new or different for this release.The sequel has a 5.1 DTS Master Audio track instead of a 7.1 and as an added note there is no DVD included with either release so if you want the DVD enclosed you'll have to buy the standard double play editions.I hope my review helps in your decision to purchase.

I grew up with Disney as a toddler. I've been trying to bring them home with me when it came in Diamond Edition in the USA but I didn't have the time and the money. My family and I used to have VHS copies. Both films were outstanding. Earlier this year, I had to do whatever I can to preserve some of the Disney vault classics and buying Region 2 DVD's to me are the answer as most of them are labeled "Dispatched from and sold by Amazon". And plus I've been replacing some titles for a 2 movie collection which makes sense. Thumbs up.

A great addition to family film library.

Hooray!! At last one of the all time Disney Classics has finally appeared on DVD and make no mistake, its a gem! Wonderful presentation throughout, its enhanced by numerous extras, and an extra movie too, Lady and the Tramp 2. Picture quality and sound is amazin for such an old movie. I still recall seeing this on the local cinema during 1956, and it has remained one of my all time favourite Disney Classics. A viewer would have to have a hard heart not to be moved by the Italian Restaurant scene with the pasta and the meat balls. Scenes like this bring a lump to ones throat. Its just so aaaaaaaaawwwww[...] A new generation of children will love this too I am sure. A wonderful box set, definetly not to be missed.

What can you say about Lady & the Tramp. It was great when I saw it as a kid, way back when it was first in the cinema and even better the second time round on Blu-Ray. Sentimental, maybe I am but I loved it. And Tramp 2, not quite so thrilling but still worth watching and Tramp & Scamp save the day in the end.Lovely story.

I love Disney movies anyway so I was happy to watch this one

With there being a life action version of this movie, it is fun to watch the original.

人生半世紀にして、遅咲きですがディズニー映画を観るようになりました。中でも、わんわん物語がとても良かったです!!きっかけはただの犬好きってだけでしたが、物語も音楽も素晴らしく大好きな作品になりました。私が生まれるずっとずっと前の作品ですが、名作とは時代も世代も超えて愛されるモノなのですね。この作品に出会えて良かったです☆

il y a fort longtemps que je souhaitais avoir ce coffret incluant les 2 films d'animations, car les éditions les plus récentes pour ma part, ne sont pas très bien travaillées au niveau du design du boitier.C'est un Coffret dépliant avec un fourreau prédécoupé à l'effigie de la belle et le clochard.3DVD l'intérieur. Edition 2006
