Wattlite T5 13 W 571 mm Slimline Under Cabinet Fluorescent Fitting Complete with Lamp and Diffuser

I would have given 5 stars but for two reasons which I will explain later. I needed a light that was small, slim, neat and nice looking. I looked at several on Amazon but this one, (RoHS) took my eye. It’s a light weight 13W fluorescent T5 tube light unit. It has a nice snap on/off diffuser. The tube itself is easy twist and drop replace when necessary. The rocker on/off switch is good and solid. The light output is more than adequate for my needs and is of the warm white type. I’m sure daylight type tubes can be purchased if required. Like other reviewers found, the mains plug into the unit is not the best of fits, and I believe this may be a design fault. I’ve used a spare one that I had knocking around. The other thing is that if you use the one supplied, you will need to purchase your own 13amp plug as one is not supplied. It is supplied with 4 fixing brackets and screws. Two of these allow you to fix them on a back panel, and the other two if suspending from the underside of a shelf. There is a slight gap between the underside of a shelf and the top of the light unit which allows free air movement to keep the unit cool. Even after reading about those two problems from other reviewers, I bought it and love it. At £13 at the time of purchase to me it has been a good buy, and if used correctly it should last for years.

Very good and works great + easy to fix. I have only given 4 stars as I think it could benefit from a couple more connectors to make matching to existing wiring even easier. Still a very good product though

Ordered this to replace an old 3-pin under wall unit light which had stopped working. Installing the new Wattlite was very easy as there are a variety of clips supplied with it. Whilst it worked - it was fine - however, after 2 weeks or so - the unit stopped working. I tried replacing the strip light (bulb) that was supplied with the fitting but still no joy. Ultimately, i decided to return the unit as faulty (& was refunded) and purchased a similar replacement which was slightly more difficult to fit but which seems a better construction and so far - works.I might have been unlucky but I can't recommend.

As soon as I arrived home, I have unwrapped the parcel very well packed as you can see from the pictures. But the product looked used and the lightbulb inside was broken in two. I have decided to keep it because I really needed it and luckily I had a light bulb anyway but not satisfied. I hope that it will not broke!!!

Ordered this light as a replacement and it was such an easy install anyone could literally do it don't need any electrical knowledge don't even need to read instructions! It gives off just the right amount of light aswell! Worth every penny definatly purchase again!

Used the fitting to replace an existing fitting which had failed -starter. Small problem with the plugs as this fitting was installed between two others. Other than that no problems.
