Very sturdy and easy to assemble. After assembly, I had to twist the ends a little to get it so sit flat, but there is a chance that the rods just didn't go in perfectly even as I used a mallet to hammer them in.

These were very nice and look good in my closet. They were fairly easy to put together even though a couple of holes were a tight fit for the rods. My husband had to use a hammar to secure the poles in the holes. I wear a size 7 1/2 and I'm able to fit 4 pairs of shoes side by side on each level or 8 pairs if I put each shoe on top of one another. I have alot of shoes but a small closet so I may buy another rack. They don't secure shoes with heels well. The heels slip between the bars but I could live with that. You can also stack the racks on top of each other.

This shoe rack is one of the hardest things I have put together.After about an hour and a half of trying to put it together, I used a hammer and shoved the poles into the places in the wood to get the poles to line up correctly and even then it was hard.

The parts don't fit together great; I spent a long time hammering with a rubber mallet before I got this together. You might have more luck than me if you *don't* tighten the bolts all the way as soon as you get some purchase with them. But in general, it seems like the rods don't really want to go into the wooden parts.It's packed pretty efficiently, though!
