The media could not be loaded. I installed the Mabett hood struts on my 2023 Bronco Badlands. I went with the chrome but they also come in black. They were a very easy install - the toughest part was getting the small piece of metal into the sheet metal. Otherwise it only took about 20 minutes to put in. I am definitely happy with the product. It looks fantastic and works flawlessly. I have always been worried about the hood falling on me but no longer. Ford should have installed these themselves. For about $40 bucks it’s a great deal! Fit is good the back silver tightening plate I need to grind down to fit in but other than that easy instal and works great

The media could not be loaded. This should come from the factory standard. Best thing I ever put on my Bronco.Install goes easier once you figure out where everything goes. There are 2 size 'T' nuts. The thinner ones go on the bottom hole on the hood lid. Mine required a little persuasion to seat properly, but once it is in, everything goes smoothy.If you don't but this one, get something similar, makes life so much easier when working under the hood.

Use the YouTube links for installation. The lower (closer to windshield) hood bracket is difficult to insert; if you get it mostly in and then start to tighten the screw, it will seat itself properly. The other brackets went in without issue. Works nicely, great value for money as always with Mabett. Happy customer.

Mabett has great items, this one included - only if the struts weren't so strong.Mounts are easy to put on, look like a factory option, roughly 10 minutes and you're done.However, the included struts are way too strong and slightly too long.With the hood open it is easily a couple inches higher than using the factory kickstand.Problem is, when going to close it you can see some buckling starting to happen near the top of the hood mount... when I instantly saw this I noped right out of there and removed everything.

The media could not be loaded. Not sure why the Bronco didn’t come with these, but it’s Mabett to the rescue again. The install took maybe 10 minutes and it looks great. The hydraulics kick in just about a foot after lifting the hood and keeps the hood up nicely. Only time will tell how long the hydraulics last, but I’m sure if they have any issues that Mabett will take care of it - they are very good at fixing issues if any should occur. Now when I have to get into to hood compartment (i.e. using my compressor), I won’t have that janky bar holding up the hood waiting to decapitate me!

I was able to install this in my Bronco with a bit of struggle.The nut that goes inside the hood did not fit, so I had to spend a lot of time dremmeling to trim the size so that it fits.This installation part is a bit questionable because if the nut comes loose inside the hood, you would need a magnet stick tool to retrieve fallen nuts inside the hood cavity.Mounting parts are not perfect fit either, though they are quite sturdy once installed. Be aware that it will leave scratches underneath the mounting parts.Once installed, it works okay. I thought it was nice that the structs starts pushing the hood up once you lift the hood up to a certain height. The structs visibly vibrate and make noises when the hood fully opens up and this make me question the durability of the product.
