Dinosaur toy plastic figures set of 12 - Large by Lello and Monkey

I did a lot of research prior to ordering these and nearly ordered a set along with a dinosaur play mat from America. I read all the reviews including the bad ones and like the saying go's each to their own. I ordered them yesterday Saturday, they arrived today, so delivery was fast. I had to open the box to have a look. I was expecting them to smell, they didn't. I was expecting them not to stand up or, certainly not all of them anyway, they all stood up. I know my twenty two month old grandson will absolutely love these. I myself cannot find any fault with these at all. The box is now sealed and ready to be wrapped for Christmas. We’ve had these dinosaurs for around 4 months now. We bought them for our daughters 2nd birthday as she’s dinosaur mad. A few reviews mention about the smell. They do smell, it’s s very heavy chemical/glue smell and I can still smell it every time we get them out to play with. We still have them in their original box so maybe that’s why? They’re very versatile. We’ve had them in water, sand,gloop and play doh making swsps, shapes and patterns. They’re durable and fun. I’m sure on a few years we’ll figure out their names. The names of each dinosaur are imprinted on the underside but it’s difficult to read and see

My son ( 20 months ) has had these for about a month now and spends a lot of time playing with these: he washes them , feeds them , gets them to dance , sets them up in his play table , hides them. He also knows all their names already and loves to tell me what their colours are. These may not be the most realistic, high -quality figurines you can find but they are pretty good for their price . And yes , they smell strongly of glue/chemicals when opening the box ( which I was very scared about ) but I immediately washed them in soap and let them air dry outside and the smell went away before giving them to my son.

These are a great value starter set for anyone with a dinosaur lover or someone looking to spark and interest in dinosaurs with their little one. They are sturdy and stand up by themselves even on carpet. The name pronunciation on the box is really helpful too! Like others, we noticed a strong smell on opening the box but we found it to be the box itself and not the dinosaurs.

Lello and Monkey do the best small toys. They don't have any hard edges, sharp horns and they are relatively soft if fallen on. I completely trust my 23 month old with them (even though the age to use them is higher). They seem to survive bath water/dunking and the outdoor weather pretty well. This set along with the Dino's, I highly recommend - we have them all. I think one set did smell of toxic plastic for a while, but a couple of washes sorted that out. Hope this helps!
