Die Suche nach einer Maus, die meinen Anforderungen entspricht, war nicht leicht, da die meisten Hersteller kaum noch Mäuse mit 4 bis 6 Seitentasten anbieten, sondern entweder mit 2 oder gleich 12 Tasten. In Frage kamen die Roccat Kone XP Air und die Razer Naga V2 Pro. Die Wahl viel letzten Endes dann auf Die Asus Maus. Positiv hervorzuheben sind folgende Eigenschaften. - 4 gut zu erreichende Seitentasten - ein Schiebepad an der ähnlich wie beim Nintendo 3DS - liegt gut in der Hand - keine Gummierung, bis auf das Mausrad - Kabellos über 2,4 Ghz Dongle oder Bluetooth - High End Sensor - Abtastrate 8000 Hz mit Kabel aber das absolute top Feature, sind die austauschbaren Switches der linken und rechten Maustaste. Viele kennen es bestimmt, dass Mäuse an sich noch funktionsfähig sind, aber durch ständige Doppelklicks unbrauchbar werde. Somit muss man sich zu mindestens in diesem Punkt hier keine Sorgen mehr machen. Die Switches lassen sich ganz einfach mit der beigelegten Zange herausziehen und durch andere ersetzen. Auch der Einsatz von optischen Switches mit 5 Pins ist möglich. Die linke und recht Maustaste sowie der Mausrücken, lassen sich ohne Werkzeug leicht auseinandernehmen. Die Teile sind Magnetisch und gut befestigt. Trotz der Modularität ist die Maus nicht klapperig und wirkt trotzdem hochwertig. Der optische Highend Maussensor arbeitet absolut akkurat. Vermutet wird hinter dem Maussensor der Pixart 3395 oder der 3399. Die 32.000 Dpi brauch hingegen kein Mensch und lässt sich auch nicht sinnvoll nutzen. In der Software lässt sich die lift-off Distanz einstellen sowie der genutzte Untergrund. Die Akkulaufzeit ist auch gut, variiert jedoch anhand der Einstellungen. Zu laden ist die Maus mit den beigelegten USB C Kabel, mit dem auch die Maus im Kabelmodus betrieben werden kann. Das Kabel ist nicht dick und sehr flexibel und hat einen guten Halt in der Maus. Das Schiebepad lässt sich in 2 Größen austauschen oder mit der beigelegten Abdeckplatte entfernen. Der analoge Modus lässt das Schiebepad, wie bei einem Konsolen Controller, sich frei in jeder Richtung reagieren. Im digitalen Modus jedoch in nur 4 Richtungen. So habe ich im digitalen Modus mir die 4 Richtungen mit z.B. Lautstärke verringern bzw. erhöhen belegt. Die Maus liebt mir sehr gut in der Hand. Ich würde meine Hände als normal Groß, ohne auffällige Merkmale bezeichnen. Für kleine Hände würde ich vermuten, dass das Schiebepad eventuell sich nicht mehr gut erreichen lässt. Die Seitentasten geben ein angenehmes Feedback und wirken weder zu hart, noch schwammig und lassen sich gut voneinander unterscheiden, so dass eine mögliche fehl Eingabe verringert wird. Die RGB-Beleuchtung ist vielseitig über die Software einzustellen, für jedoch mich absolut unnötig. Unter dem durchscheinenden Mausrücken ist das ROG RGB Logo gegen ein komplett durchscheinendes Teil austauschbar und lässt so kreativen Freiraum für eigene Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten. Auch die Verbindung mit Philips Hue ist möglich. Die Maus bietet einen internen Speicher für 5 Profile und diese lassen sich entweder über die Software oder per gedrückt halten der DPI-Taste und drücken der Seitentasten wechseln. Zusätzlich lassen sich noch weiter Profile in der Software auf dem lokalen PC hinterlegen. Das automatische Wechseln der Profile funktioniert zuverlässig, solange die Maus nicht im Standby ist. Die Maus ist also nicht nur für Gaming geeignet, sondern auch sehr gut für produktives arbeiten und bietet durch die 4 Seitentasten und dem Schiebepad, viele Möglichkeiten. Natürlich ist keine Maus Perfekt und hat auch zu kritisierende Punkte. Ich hätte die Maus gerne mit AA Akku Batterien betrieben statt eines fest verbauten Akkus. Der leicht zu entfernende Mausrücken hätte es ohne Probleme möglich gemacht. Das Mausrad Könnte mehr Widerstand beim Scrollen bieten und ist für meinen Geschmack etwas zu leichtgängig. Eine Ausführung der Mausrades in Metall wäre toll gewesen. Stattdessen hat man sich für Gummiertes Plastik entschieden. Wahrscheinlich um Gewicht zu sparen. Auch eine Freilauffunktion hätte ich mir sehr gewünscht. Die Gleitfüße hätten auch etwas besser sein dürfen. Sie sind zwar nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht besonders gut. Die Unterseite der Maus hätte genug Platz geboten, um mehr Gleitfüße unterzubringen. Die Amoury Create Software ist Absolut überladen und könnte besser sein. Wenigstens läuft sie bei mir. Auch die Belegung der linken ALT-Taste ist sehr seltsam. dies funktioniert nur in dem man die Rechte ALT Taste gedrückt hält und dann kurz der die linke ALT taste drückt. Das Ganze funktioniert auch umgekehrt. Die Verbindung über den 2,4 Ghz Dongle könnte auch besser sein. Es darf wirklich nichts zwischen der Maus und dem Dongle sein, sonst kommt es zu verbindungsabbrüchen. Da bin ich leider schon besseres gewöhnt. Zum Glück lässt sich mit dem beigelegten USB Adapter für das USB C Kabel, der Dongle verlängern, womit ich diesen dann einfach auf dem Tisch legen kann.
