No good in snow county
These gutter guards are great for keeping leaves and debris out but if you live in an area that gets a lot of snow and ice then I can not recommend. I am a general contractor and all my life I have talked to different reps about THEIR gutter gaurd and how they work the best. Gutter guards hold droplets of water on top of the gaurd and this is what starts to freeze. Before you know it the top of the gaurd has frozen solid. Then come the icicles. Had mine on for two years on a home that never gets icicles. Removed them this fall. I will clean gutters from now on. Also with heavy rains the water will run over the edge of your gutter. Can not recommend in colder climates.

Great product, great price!
After learning that the much-touted Gutter Helmet gutter guard system cost my neighbor $30/ft to have installed, and realizing that both my daughter and I need some kind of leaf guard system on the gutters on our houses, I did some research with Consumer's Report and found that the Gutter Helmet system was not that highly rated. They did recommend a system that was also durable aluminum at 40 cents/ft, but a check on Amazon, and after looking at some Youtube installation instruction videos, I crossed that system off my list as not what I was looking for. But while on Amazon I did come across this FlexxPoint system and the users rated it highly, and it was the type of system that Consumers Reports liked. Price was right at 76 cents/ft, and the customers said they loved it and installation was easy, so I bought some a few weeks ago.So far, I have installed the FlexxPoint 5" white gutter guards on all 120 feet of my gutters, and done half of the gutters on my daughter's house (50 ft so far), and I LOVE this system. It is quite easy to install overall. You may run into some delays if the shingles curl down into the gutters slightly, which then requires you to work the guard back up under the shingles to get it seated properly, or to lift the shingles up with a long-handled screwdriver if necessary. This is usually not much of a problem - more of an annoyance than anything else - and would present itself no matter what gutter guard system you purchase. I found that just cleaning and hosing out the gutters, getting them ready for the guards, takes up about 1/3 of the total installation time. Using a power drill is a necessity, for drilling the screw holes, and then installing the screws. Remember to use the low speed when tightening down the screws to avoid stripping out the hole. Each box of 25 4-foot sections of gutter guards comes with a box of 100 size 8/18, 3/4 inch zinc plated screws for securing the backside of each gutter guard, and a box of 150 size 8/18, 5/8 inch zinc plated screws for securing the front side of each gutter guard (more than is needed, probably just in case). If you're worried about the long-term rust-resistance of the screws, put a dab of Rustoleum rust-proof primer on each screw head after installation using a Q-tip, followed up 24 hrs later with dab of Rustoleum white gloss rust-proof enamel - much, much cheaper than buying stainless steel screws (which are hard to find in this size anyway!) [Update 11/17/2015 - Mike at Flexxpoint informed me that they have recently switched to stainless steel screws provided with the gutter covers, although many contractors have told them that their experience has been that zinc-plated screws have held up very well over the years on gutters and are not a problem.]Be aware that, although each gutter guard measures 4 feet long, there is a 3/8" overlap tab on each end, so that your effective length is actually 3' 11 1/4 " for installation measuring purposes. This overlap is necessary to give rigidity and strength to the area where the sections meet. One reviewer concluded somehow that the aluminum used in these gutter guards is as thin as that of a soda can. Actually, after doing the measurement with a high-quality digital caliper, the Flexxpoint cover is almost six times as thick as that used in soda cans (.0025 in. vs. .014 in.). And my guess is that a stronger, more durable grade of aluminum alloy is used for gutter products that have to last for years than is used for single-use beverage cans. Curious, I made a phone call to Flexxpoint in Huron Ohio, where Mike confirmed that a much more durable aluminum alloy is used for gutters than for soda cans.Overall a very nice system that I would recommend to anyone.

Excellent product, easy installation!
I love this product! My house has an extra lot on the side filled with mature trees. Keeping the leaves and debris out of the gutters has been a monthly chore for me. Especially since my gutters drain to an underground pipe that takes the runoff out to the street. Clogging was a nightmare!Since I've installed these covers, no more leaves in the drain pipe or the gutters! I have to say I was a bit sceptical at first, but these work great! Installation was a breeze! They actually snap right into the gutter and corners can be trimmed with a scissors making it look like a professional installation!I did have to trim off 3" of my asphalt shingles to get the guards to fit properly, since the roof installers left way too much material when they installed it.I'm going to buy another set for my rental home! Very impressed with the product and ease of installation! Love the fact that they're made in the USA!

very easy to install, appears it will do the job
For the last 10 years I have been dragging out the ladder 2-3-4 times a year to clean the gutters.. it was nice at first, but then the drains became clogged, and when I got lazy, the leafs would sit in the gutters all winter and melted snow would freeze and weigh the gutters down and then spring came...you get the picture... I was interested in getting gutter gaurds installed..called a local company and they wanted over a thousand dollars! to install gutter guards that had a thirty year warranty....well fast forward to amazon...found these,at a tenth of the price...AND it came with the screws! the screws are self tapping and are perfect! these guards fit my 5" gutters perfect! I have 85' in front and 85' in the back of the house of gutters... I used a garden hose to clean and verify drains were clear...then I was expecting this to take hours and hours to install...nope...took about 3 hours total! entire house...I did but the magnetic 1/4 bit....kind of a must.. I installed these before helicopter season...as you see in the pictures they are doing their job! I will keep an eye on how well they perform of the next year...you know, heavy rain, falling leaves, helicopters from the maples, and snow.. my neighbour has these and they have been holding up for 5 years that I have seen... so bottom line...cost a tenth of a company install, very easy to install, very easy to cut with tin snips, perfect fit! came with more than enough hardware, can not be seen from the ground, and as seen in pics...they are doing the job perfect.....

Good quality, easy to install system
The product is well designed and strong enough to last many (30 ?) years. My gutter's exterior width is 4.75" and the gutter guard's thickness is just right so it is quite easy to slightly bend it into place. The galvanized metal fasteners (included in the order) can be directly screwed into the gutter without pre-drilling. Self-tapping screws having a no. 2 square slot-head would be more appropriate. The item's total length is not 4 feet but 46.25", including a 3/8" cut-off at each extremity (for overlapping of two adjacent sheets). Contrary to the description, shipping to Canada is by no way free (52 $).

Comes in white and metal. Choose your colour
Great product easy to install. Only problem is that we couldn’t find where to choose the colour so we ended up getting two different colour. I ordered this product twice once in the fall and in the spring again once I realized I didn't have enough. The second box was painted on the wrong side. I contacted the seller to inform them and I was told that in order to give the second colour they just flip over the gutter guard when they paint them. I somehow would't think that wasting the paint on the underside is something they would do. Maybe they thought I would be too stupid to realize it.

Size is not as claimed
I received the orders on time. But during installation I noticed that the width of these guards is 4 and 3/4 inch instead of 5 inch. As a result, when it is bolted the shape is changing due to this 1/4 inch short. Now even I have doubt whether the thickness is also correct as promised. It is very unfair to supply products with wrong dimensions. I almost installed half of the covers received and it does not look very uniform because of these wrong dimension. I will never recommend this supplier to any buyer.

Good value for price
Time will tell whether this product will keep the leaves out of my gutters. The installation was straight forward once I figured out that the shiny side goes up. With the screens screwed in front and back, my gutters are much stronger than before. This is similar to a product that received top reviews from Mike Holmes but at a fraction of the cost.

Easy to insatall/
They are easily installed and make the eve system much more stable from ice damage. They screw both to the eve trough and the facia every foot and the ice can not get a hook on the eve troughs. Great for steel roofs.
