Does the job
Feels well made, seems the image is slightly darker so it does not perform well in very low light but still performs well otherwise. The 16x magnification is questionable but it is at least 10X and shaky because of it.I would recommend it for the price and convince.

It works, difficult to use at the start, but once you get used to it, it works fine
It is being used for Executive Protection work, both in a counter sniper mode and as a counter surveillance tool. It is doing both very well.

Larger than expected.
I bought for my 6 yr old son. I was hoping for pocket size. This is much larger than i wanted. Works as expected!

Sharp center image, but misleading specs and lots of glare and coma
So... where to start? The specs are all wrong. The lens is 40mm, not 52mm. 52mm is the outside measurement. The field of view is nowhere near the 22 degrees written on the side of the monocular. I don't know what the magnification is, but I doubt it is 16x. Also, the description says "front and back adjustable zoom". There is no zoom, you use the front dial to focus. I don't know why they have the rear dial. In binoculars, it adjusts for astigmatism to match the user's eyes so both images are in focus without the user needing to wear glasses. I don't see the point with a monocular, since only one eye is used for viewing.I ordered 3 monoculars. The primary lens was pushed in different distances in each unit, changing the focal length. The lens had almost fallen out of one unit (see photo), presumably in shipping, but it is obvious that they are just pushed in place kind of randomly, and secured only by friction. Also, these lenses show a LOT of glare and coma; the image is distorted once you get about halfway out from the focal point in the center of the lens, so really only the center is usable.These feel fairly rugged and are pretty compact. They are good for kids to play around with until they learn to take care of more expensive tools. Also, the center of the image is very sharp and clear. Because of the misleading specs and poor seating of the lens, I can't give these more than 2 stars.
