As the factory antennas are mostly 2dBi rubber ducks which are packaged with the wireless routers or PCI WiFi devices pretty much the same way as low-cost tyres fitted in a new car for obvious reasons, the full potential of wireless coverage cannot be exploited without fitting in stronger antennas. Simply unscrew the factory antennas and replace them with these +9.5dBi Omni antennas. If your wireless router is amongst one of the few which has undetachable antennas, you may drop us a message for further advice. Instantly delivering a gain of x9.8 on each antenna to improve the speed and the range of your wireless connection. The +9.5dBi Omni is slim, lightweight and having a length of merely 15 inches. It works beautifully with any 802.11b/g and 802.11n MIMO WiFi devices.

Powerful little antenna...
Works as advertised. Good range, quality made, just as presented. It's a little long (actually upsets the balance of the plastic device I connected it to) but that isn't a flaw of the product... I would recommend using it with mounted or heavier equipment, though.

No significant improvement - marginal at best
I have a brand new Dlink Dir-825. One of the best routers out there for the money. But, I have a 3500 square ft. 2 story house, and my modem is in 1 top floor corner bedroom. I have trouble getting good signal on the front and back porch, as well as the family room. I can't see any significant improvement in reception, i.e. no more signal bars in the far reaching locations than before; I did notice I could go about 10ft farther out in the yard and still have the same 1 bar signal strenght I've always had. I wish I would have opted for the more expensive set available, that have received much better reviews.

hmm..
Seems to work about the same as the stock 3dbi antenna that came with my Alfa wifi adapter. Not really as good as I hoped, maybe they quality is lousy or something.

Not helpful
This antenna did not give me a better signal. It is a complete waste of money. It is a what I expected but it did not help my issue in the least.

2.4ghz Gain Antenna
I purchased a wireless camera security system, the cameras transmit a low power 2.4ghz signal. A dvr receives the signal (records) & provides the video to the tv. The dvr with the original (small) antenna had to be located 5ft from the tv & placed on a box in the middle of a window frame to receive a usable signal from each of the 4 cameras. After much research on gain antennas with the proper connector I decided to try this reasonable duck gain antenna. I thought, if it worked, I could move the dvr anywhere in the room. It did work, but the dvr could only be moved 2ft closer to the tv, but in a much better location (on the window sill & against the frame). The dvr does receive a 4 bar signal from each of the 4 cameras at this much more convenient location. The 2.4ghz signal has proven to be very tricky & sensitive.
