Improved dental health
Disclosing tablets are an ideal way of ensuring that you're effectively cleaning your teeth. I chew one table, let it mix with my saliva, swill it around my mouth and then spit it in the sink (be aware your saliva will be blue, it doesn't seem to stain but it makes a bit of a mess so make sure the tap is running). Then check your teeth in the mirror, any remaining plaque will be stained allowing you to clean it away. After using the tablets a few times you learn what the problem areas are, I still chew a tablet once a week just to make sure I'm not falling back in to bad habits.

Don't use any time before you soon need to smile in public..!!
Does the job, but it takes a long time for the purple mouth-colouring to wear off..!I've not used these again after my first try..! :-O

Have sink cleaning product handy. It’s really messy.
On the whole very good. I couldn’t see the different colours though it was all blue and I brushed my teeth thoroughly before I used the tablet unless they’re really plaquey. I did find it was really REALLY messy, so have your sink cleaning product handy. I was worried it would stain my sink but it didn’t luckily.

Disclosing tablets
They do the job, different colours for different ages of plaque seems to work well. The flavour is slightly medicinal, but not disgusting.I do think some reviewers expect too much or don't know what disclosing tablets are for. These aren't sweeties, they don't have to taste great, just not repulsive. An older child should be fine with them.Disclosing tablets are full of dye and colourings, they wont taste great, and they will stain your whole mouth for a good few hours. Don't use these before an interview, or before going to work. Choose a time before bed, or on a day off when you wont be going out. You WILL have a purple mount for 12 hours.Chew them with a good amount of spit for 30 sec, spit into the sink. Rinse your mouth with fresh water. Look at all the pretty colours on your teeth, not brush and floss till they are all clean again. To see how good your normal brushing routine is, do this immediately after brushing. See what you missed and brush again. After brushing rinse your mouth thoroughly and wipe your lips on a paper towel to get rid of any loose dyes that might get on clothing, towels, bedding etc.... If this is immediately before bed and you are prone to drooling, maybe use a pillow you don't like much. They do what they are meant to.

Reasonably good value tricolour disclosing tablets
These disclosing tablets are of the “three colour” type that have two dyes present, each of which reacts differently to the pH of plaque and can thus distinguish by the overall colour in each area if plaque is young and not damaging teeth or about to start damage or actively damaging, acidogenic plaque.Owing to a malformation I find my teeth hard to clean in places so I thought I’d try these out and they did exactly what I expected - I found some acidogenic plaque in an area I thought I was cleaning well but clearly wasn’t.They taste the usual chalky-antiseptic mix these things have tasted for 30 years - can’t hide the taste of one of the dyes, alas.
