## Description

Durolane is intended for use in intraarticular injection for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate knee or hip osteoarthritis. It is also intended for use in intraarticular injection for the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis of mild to moderate synovial joints and for the reduction of post-arthroscopic pain. The product must be injected by a competent physician or in accordance with local legislation. Durolane contains 20 mg / ml of non-animal hyaluronic acid stabilized in pH 7 sodium salt buffer saline. It is a sterile transparent viscoelastic gel provided in a 3 ml glass syringe. The product is only disposable. Hyaluronic acid is identical in all living organisms. It is a natural polysaccharide present in body tissues, with particularly high concentrations in synovial fluid and skin. Durolane is composed of hyaluronic acid, which is biosynthetically produced, purified and stabilized. Durolane is assimilated from the body according to the same metabolic pathway of endogenous hyaluronic acid.
