The two piece design (separate inner sleeve) is cumbersome and the appearance is sub par. The inner liner easily frays and is useless after much use. The outer layer will melt almost immediately without the inner liner. Awkward and clumsy to use.

I put this on a can on a 5.56, w/16" barrel. Much to my delight, it held up well. Did not smoke or smolder. I have another cover that costs 3x as much and it did smoke. However, do not try to touch this cover shortly after use. It gets HOT on the outside. It might be best to use this cover to remove/store you can rather than use it during the pew pew process. Mirage is not an issue with a modern sporting rifle, like it is with a precision rifle. I will use my can without it. The can will also cool faster after use if it is not covered in insulation.

This is great protection from the forbidden red popsicle. If you have a suppressor (can), you know you need some protection from the can after running it a while. Touching a hot can to your leg is Not a happy time. This cover does what it advertises and is designed to stay put. This suppressor cover exactly measures 8in and is basically exactly as advertised. It looks cool on my airsoft guns so I am not sure if it really protects against heat to well. But the inner sleeve seems like it might protect more against heat than the outer roll. The black cover has a soft inner lining and the rope is there to tie it to your handguard so it doesn't slip off on it's own.Overall, this cover is as they advertise with no issues with my unit.
