Really Beautiful and Good Book
So far I am really enjoying this deck set. I think it makes a nice gift. I find the artwork is beautiful and the book is easy to understand. There are some unique layouts and more that other deck books I have don't go into. I do like the larger books and gift boxes but I don't have hundreds of tarot and oracle decks taking up a whole wall. I also like the Scottish lore in the first part of the card descriptions. The deck is easily shuffled. The cards are glossy and pretty slippery. These cards are based on Scottish lore so the people would be less diverse and I find it refreshing that all the people on the cards aren't fine and fancy. A few of the cards really resemble my husband's and my family so I find these cards even more special. I am hoping a deck comes out with the old tribes as the suits and maybe the fools journey will be druidic initiation onward. I was happy to see this deck available.

Beautiful, earthy and hella witchy
I love this beautiful deck. The art is amazing and the guidebook is beautifully made. It's definitely a deck that strays from Rider- Waite- Smith so you'll want to use your guidebook. The art is moody and raw and has some symbolism but doesn't always depict a scene that allows you to know what the card is representing. It's not something I'd use for large spreads or for divination. It's more for reflecting on your spiritual path. And I don't know how much you'll get from it if you're not a witch.

Great Deck, Disappointed in Guidebook
Beautiful images, I absolutely love this deck and would recommend it to anyone despite what I am about to say. I have been looking for a witchy deck that isn't cute-halloween vibes, and this fits that exactly.First, as some others have noted, my deck also has a 'bowed' issue which leads to the deck having a noticeable separation at particular cards. I can work around this, but it does look like there might have been a bad batch at the printer. Not the creator's fault. The Guidebook. It needed to be twice the size. This deck is NOT a RWS clone, the cards do deviate from the meanings from that deck, so I really would have liked to have more information for each card, since I am essentially learning half-a-new system with this deck. Some of my previous tarot knowledge applies, but not nearly enough for this guidebook to be as sparse as it is. I really wanted more from it, because I like this deck so much. For comparison, the Linestrider tarot is also by Llewellyn, and that deck is much closer to the RWS in images and meanings, to the point where you could use other books on tarot to understand it. And it's guidebook is 78 pages longer than Witch Sister's guidebook. Both guidebooks have full-page pictures of the art, too, so it's not like that is the reason for the reduced number of pages. Please note, I blame the publisher for this, not the creator, since the publisher is the one who has final say on the length of guidebooks. If it was making the product too costly, print on non-glossy paper (like their Animal Totem tarot, another great, chunky guidebook) or skip the full color (like plenty of other great LLewellyn guidebooks of the past), so that I can have more actual information on the cards themselves.

Witch Sister Tarot
The Witch Sister Tarot. Tarot of the Hidden Realms has been pivotal in my understanding of tarot and the inclusion of Elven energy and Celtic mythology. I have gathered art over the years from the artist and use them in my altar space. I am so excited to finally have a deck that pulls directly from my personal Scottish ancestral heritage roots as an American overseas. This deck will help support me connecting with ancestors, deepening my inner shamanic pagan work with Scottish folklore, and working with the beings such as the Fae, cloaked crones, ancient horned ones, and the witches of legend and from the land of Scotland such as Isobel Gowdie. May all the women and men who were executed and tortured from the witch trials in 16th-18th century Scotland be blessed and be filled with Light. May their souls be given peace, serenity and healing. I will honor them as I use this deck. To Julia- Blessings to you.Thank you for carving your powerful art onto paper and gifting it to the world. Your art is needed. Keep carving it. I am sending strength to you and I stand with you, my fellow Witch Sister. @stonemaidenart Signed, Your Witch Brother.#witchsistertarot #scottishwitchcraft #scottishfolklore #scottishpaganism #paganism #witchtrials #isobelgowdie #malewitch #ancestors #scotlandwitchtrials
