Miles is wounded by a handmade bomb during a party with some of his friends and Maxi wants to send him packing, but Miles won't leave until he solves the case.Neither Maxi or Miles will be the first to admit they want this relationship to continue, until they are both nearly killed by a deranged mind.. I have to admit, I had no idea who was causing all the trouble to the very end of the confrontation. Lori Foster did a superb job with the suspense in this story and the heat between Maxi and Miles was hotter than a volcano.Lori Foster is one of my favorites and each time she releases a new book, I think "how can this be better than the last?" But it is everytime. If you haven' started the Body Armor series now is the time, because you are missing out on some great romances!

I’m a fan of Lori Foster’s books, I usually preorder her books and I still have a few that I didn’t read yet, like Under Pressure and Hard Justice, so I started Close Contact without reading the first books in this series and honestly I regret it, not because I struggled to follow the story, I didn’t, however my curiosity about some of the characters is huge! I’ll definitely read both asap!Miles is a MMA fighter who joins Body Armor, a bodyguard agency, he’s actually happy working there until his new client is someone he knows… intimately. Maxi enjoyed a few night stands with him, disappeared from his life and now she’s at Body Armor’s office trying to hire him. But then when she starts to explain why she needs protection, Mile’s protection, all of his instincts are roaring to protect her at any cost. And besides… Maxi has been on his mind a lot.Maxi is a sweetheart, she never quite fit with her family, never had much luck in love and she feels like she never measured up to her mom’s expectations. She’s such a sweetheart! She’s trying so hard to honor the trust her grandmother put on her, it’s absolutely endearing.Miles and Maxi are incredibly perfect for each other and I fell in love with both of them. Lori Foster balances suspense, romance, heat, danger, intrigue, an amazing plot and well crafted characters like no other. And the cameos… YES! If you’ve read Lori’s Ultimate series, you’re going to love to encounter again some of the guys. And Sahara, Miles’ boss, is an amazing secondary character, I can’t wait for her book.Overall, if you love books with MMA figthers (or former MMA fighters), bodyguards, alpha males, lots of romance, suspense, intrigue and a little mystery, you’re going to love Close Contact.

The Body Armour series just keeps getting better. Justice and Leese and now Miles. All of these MMA fighters on top of Cannon, Armie, Denver and Stack just gets more delicious!Maxi and Miles have palpable chemistry and anyone near them feels the sexual sparks radiating off them. They have a history, short but quite memorable, I assure you!Their story is complete with intrigue, mishaps, gunshots and explosions. It's also even more swoon worthy with all of the MMA fighters in one place...with their shirts off, sweating with hard labor.Miles will protect her, even when she's pushing him away. It's his job but it's also more. So much more. Maxi may need his protection but she's got a backbone of steel. She has moments where she weakens under the pressure of all that is going on, and those moments are when he can show her more of what they have, what they can be. She's pushing him away for his own protection and he's having no part of that! when they succumb it's beautiful, passionate and hot!The "whodunnit" I had narrowed down to two but the how of it all surprised me and was a great hero/heroine moment!And the taste of Sahara and Brand was like fine chocolate, sweet but now we need more! their story is likely to be the best! keep them coming because I love them all!

I loved this book! Ms. Foster hooks the reader right from the first sentence. The mystery starts off on the first page, and the humor follows later. I found the story quite a lot of fun.The heroine finds it hard to trust. She has learned that she is not infallible and has trusted the wrong people before, so she decides the solution is not to trust anyone ever again. In Ms. Foster’s mind, that is a terrible place to be. Without trust we can’t have love and without love the world is a dark place. So a couple of times Maxi tries to just use Miles for his body without trusting him. He is a beautiful man but also has a beautiful character, so she knows that if she lets him he could really become important to her. She doesn’t want to trust him. When bad things start happening to her and she has to trust someone, though, she goes straight for Miles. She hopes hiring him through the Body Armor firm will provide an insulating barrier and protect her.This is another in Ms. Foster’s Body Armor series. It is an interesting idea, to make a security company with a division of good-looking guys from which to select, not just plain guys in suits and earpieces. Anyway, as all the books in the series do, this book stands alone although it is delightful to meet “old friends” from the other books.I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book.

Another great book by Lori Foster. Bought for my Friend as a Christmas present. She has read this book 3 times already. Would highly recommend this Book. Good price. Cannot wait for the next Book to be written.

Never disappointed with a Lori Foster book. It's like visiting old friends and catching up and adding new ones along the way.

Arrived basically on time and in the condition advertised. I haven’t read it yet but I like this author and this series so I expect I will enjoy this one too.
