Description
A sweet tale of friendship and learning to help one another, set in the beautiful countryside Isaac is a hedgehog who has only ever been alone - and that is the way he likes it. One day an apple falls from a tree and sticks onto the spines on his back. He wiggles and jiggles, but he cannot get it off. As he struggles to remove the apple, help comes in the unexpected form of a donkey who cannot reach the apples which fall outside of his paddock. Isaac learns that it is better to have a friend and to be helpful than to be on your own all of the time.

Beautifully illustrated and a delightful tale!
I first picked this up in a bookshop having been drawn to the beautiful illustrations and I've bought several copies on Amazon to give as presents since then. Isaac really comes to life as he struggles to get the apple off his back - he's reminiscent of Platypus, the star of YouTube's Hedgehog Escape! [...].My nephew absolutely loves this book and has learnt how to say hedgehog as a result! I'm sure you'll love it too and I strongly recommend it. Beautifully illustrated and a delightful tale!

Good story
Lovely story. Beautifully illustrated for adults but not really bright enough for young children. Illustrations lacked small details that my grandaughter likes to spot. The story appeals to her though.

What a wonderful book
The pictures online didn't do justice to the beautiful book I've just received. A big square book of an imaginative story of sweet little Isaac, the hedgehog being lured into being helpful. My little neice is now obsessed with Isaac. Delighted to get something so beautifully illustrated, sadly rare in this digital age.Many more of these please!Jules

A book for Isaac
I brought this for my son Isaac, after looking for books for autumn. What attracted me to the book was that its about a hedgehog called Isaac. Well my son loves it. Weve had it for a few months now and its being read most nights. The story is lovely.

Cute, cute story. I collect anything to do with hedgehogs, including stories. This was a nice story with a thoughtful message which can be discussed between parent and child.. The illustrations are lovely. Hedgehogs rule!

Nos ha gustado mucho este cuento. El libro tiene hojas finas, pero resistentes. No está grapado - las páginas están cosidas y pegadas con un pegamento flexible - se abre muy bien.Las imágenes tienen mucho encanto, son muy de otoño. La historia es simple, el texto se lee muy bien. Está íntegramente en inglés.Una buena compra, muy recomendable.
