I don't know if I got one with bad batteries or if the headlamp drains the batteries while not in use, but every time I try to use this it's dead. Works well right after it's been charged (takes a very long time to charge also). I really want to like this product but so far I've been very disappointed. I'll probably try removing the batteries when not in use, but that seems like something I shouldn't have to do for a flashlight/headlamp. Replacement batteries cost almost as much as the light, but maybe I'll try that in the future?EDIT: I was able to contact the selller and they were very helpful and are shipping out a replacement at no charge. I look forward to getting the replacement headlamp and seeing if it works better. I have updated my initial 2 star review to 4 just for the helpfulness of their customer service. Will update the review again once the replacement arrives but if all works as it should I'm hoping this will be a 5 star product. Thanks to Hoday for their quick response and help resolving my issue.UPDATE: Received replacement headlamp very quickly and after using for a while I'm happy to say the new one works perfectly! I got this headlamp to help e with my needlepoint. I need a strong light directed on my work.When I first opened the box and tried it on, it felt heavy and bulky. However, after a few quick adjustments on the stretch band it fit . But it took a few minutes of wearing it to feel comfortable. After 15 minutes i barely even noticed it on my head. The light can be positioned at several angle and it has different levels of brightness. It shines in the direction you are looking. The batteries are rechargeable so you don't have to worry about carrying extra batteries. This will work great at my stitching retreat. I love it.

Initial review. Good quality light, very bright, and it is great for field work. The batteries will last several hours. I am assuming that this model is the same quality as my old "zoomable'/focusable" light. My comments are based on that one. They look virtually identical, except for the purple ring around the lens assembly. I dinged it for one star because this one cannot focus the light. Note, the zoomable model is about $8 more. On my old zoomable model the only thing that broke was the battery cover: the ring that attaches the battery cover wore through it. The cover still works, but it is no longer "captive". That occurred after.3 years.USE:. Brightest setting for crawling on my hands and knees in commercial kitchens while inspecting Grease Traps. The light can be worn over a hard hat. On the lower setting, I would wear it and write reports. The cat's dome light was insufficient. Strobe is a bonus.The.build quality appears to be the same: meaning, it is quite good.  Bright headlamp, worth the money, The headlamp is super bright but not heavy, decent product and nice price, headlamp looks solid and durable and the purple lens looks cool. Rechargeable battery comes wrapped with plastic, and take around 5 hours to charge. The soft head strap is flexible and adjustable, comfortable wearing around head and can fit on my hard hat perfect, works well when I am doing repairing work. It is convenient only one on/off button control all three light modes, easy for operation.

I use this light to run with. Running in the trails with this "spotlight" is very handy. It has a bright close up profile but the main beam projection is intense even on the second less powerful setting that it makes the dark trail look like running in daylight. I try and use the less powerful setting to conserve battery life. I also use a vastly more expensive light the Black Diamond Sprinter and can see this being the replacement long term for that especially in the trail. The price point for this light can't be beat for the function and options.

It amazes me how they can pack so much value into a lamp that costs so little. I don't know how long the batteries will last, probably not as long as the Nitecore 3400's I buy separately, but for the money you can throw the off-brand batteries away. Not really waterproof as the description says, but we put ours through a lot in oilfield use, and unless you get a lot of brine on them they should last for years.

I like the light. It does a pretty good job. The straps never seem to last too long I'm wondering how long this one will last. One of the loops has come loose already where it was not stitched properly but it is still usable. I guess I'll have to hand sew it later. I don't look forward to that.

I liked this item, but it quit suddenly and I could not get it to work again. Upon learning of my problem, the seller immediately replaced the defective item and sent a replacement. I am very pleased with this company and its response to its customers. The replacement light is working fine and I hope to use it for a long, long time!!
