Review: Works perfectly, incredibly quiet, great control app! - This product is about as well engineered, as well documented, as well packaged, and as well supported as it could possibly be. First, the engineering: The stainless steel face plate is precisely cut and plenty strong. Easy to locate and drill four corner points for a simple install over the foundation opening. It will remain rust-free. The twin fans are removable and reversible if you'd prefer to pull air into your crawl space. They come preset to exhaust air out of the crawl space. When the fans are on, you cannot hear them unless you are 3-4 feet away. No vibration, no wind noise. I have had it running nearly non-stop for about a month now with no sign of overheating or any change in noise level. The unit and controls just feel solid. I bought it to replace the loud, single motor exhaust fan I had under the house that I got from a home improvement store. That one always ran hot and probably used lots of power while only exhausting 160 CFM. If I read correctly, this unit only uses a few watts but draws 240 CFM. It should save electricity. The documentation: This is not one of those skimpy, poorly translated instruction sheets. The documentation booklet is complete, well written, and extremely easy to follow. It addresses every feature in clear English with plenty of illustrations. You will have no issues understanding every function if you just read the instructions first. Which leads to packaging: It is a crawl space fan, but it has a velvet lined box. The packaging says the manufacturer really cares about quality and put lots of thought into the product from beginning to end. It was packaged like high-end electronics, which it is, but it was still under $100. Everything you need to install and operate the product is included, including power supply, programming control box, and wired sensor cable, all connected with cables supplied. Finally support: I got the unit with the thermostat and humidistat built in. You will need a 120V outlet under your crawl space to plug it in. I did not need any help to figure it out in just a few minutes, thanks to the documentation and what turned out to be an amazing, free AC Infinity app you download from the App Store. The control box with digital readout stays under the house, so I rely on the app to tell me the temp (F or C) and humidity (%) under the house at any time, anywhere (also kPa, but I don't need that), and it even graphs trends or sounds alarms/sends alerts if you want. You can control and change all settings via the app, too. I had a remote digital temp and humidity sensor under the house already, and the readouts are within 2% of each other. Temp is right on. I have the product set to come on if temp OR humidity rises above a certain point. The thermostat and humidistat work concurrently, as they say. Either one (or kPa) can turn the fans on (or off) independently depending on how you set it. You can set upper and lower fan speed from 0 to 10 so that "off" is either truly OFF (0 RPM) or just a lower RPM, and "on" is max RPM or something less, all on a scale of 0 to 10. You can set a range for all control parameters so that "on" and "off" are separated by whatever degree or % you choose in auto mode. It can also be set to work on a timer, to cycle on/off as you choose, or work on a certain daily schedule. Hard to imagine more programability, but it is very intuitive. If you can set an alarm clock, you can set this thing. Highly recommended!
Review: Top quality ventilation fan - This ventilation fan exudes high quality, from the packaging to the sturdy construction to the electronic controls to the instruction manual. From reading the instruction manual online, I ordered the S3 fan thinking that this would allow me to reduce the humidity in my crawl space. And it would do that, but the S3 does not have an integrated humidity control, so I returned the S3 and ordered the T3 that does include the integrated humidity, as well as temperature, and vapor pressure deficit control. But the unit that arrived had already been opened and the fan blades rattling around loose within the fan housing; clearly, this was a damaged return that I received, and I don't know if this was the fault of desertcart or AC Infinity, the maker of this fan. Regardless, I returned the damaged fan and ordered another T3. The new T3 was perfectly packaged, just like the original S3 I had received but returned, and worked flawlessly. There was one question I had about setting up the controller, and Gabriel, the customer service person I spoke with at AC Infinity, was a pleasure to talk with and super helpful, and he talked me through the answer to my question. Setting up the controller definitely takes some time because there are several interacting variables that need to be set correctly for the fan to operate as intended, but the manual is written clearly and well. I read the controller manual one time, put it aside for 12 hours, then read it again with the controller in hand while changing settings to see what happened. It took about an hour for this second read of the controller manual and setting the controller the way I wanted. This is definitely a very high quality ventilation fan, the price is comparable to other fans that do not have nearly the sophistication nor control nor quality.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it really the exhaust version? If you are facing the display and it turns on, do the fans blow towards your face or away?**
A: Away ... the air blows out the non-display side so the unit is protected from the weather if placed in a crawlspace. Been using it for 8 months, so far I'm highly pleased.

**Q: Does this unit install under the home inside crawl space? Or out side of home? Will it fit a 16" opening?**
A: It's designed to fit in an opening 8"x16", as a foundation vent is. It's the same dimension as a standard concrete block. I removed a foundation vent and installed my ventilator fan in its place in my crawlspace. I works fine.

**Q: can it be turned off/on with a smart plug and not use any other method like temp or humidity?**
A: I use their register vent smart fans in this manner and it maintains settings. Presuming sane electronics for these I would hope the same

**Q: can i put it in a small window and is it weather proof of occasional rain blows on it if rain comes thru window screen? Can this be turned on manuall**
A: Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

This product is rated as weatherproof so it can take light water but we don't recommend using it if you anticipate it getting drenched or splashed with a lot of water. This fan can be turned on and off by going into "ON" or "OFF" mode respectively.

Kind regards,

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ It does its job really well, but at an expense. I use to ventilate my solar shed
*by J***S on September 14, 2023*

This product is typically used to air out crawl spaces and attics, and I think that it would do an OK job at these tasks. I ended up buying this for two reasons: It is fairly plug-and-play, and I enjoyed that it both took and told the temperature and changed its function based on that. The GOOD: -This does its job. You can set it to turn on at a certain temperature or humidity range, and it both accurately reads these and activates based on them. -It's not really that loud at full blast. -This is a high-quality build, appears fairly dust/waterproof, and I have no worries that it will keep chugging through both the blistering summer and frigid winter The OKAY: -It's kind of dumb that you have to unscrew the fan and turn them 180 degrees to switch the direction of airflow. They actually make a separate product that blows the opposite direction, but they do admit that you can do this yourself. I really think that this could be simplified with just some simple tweaks, and certainly shouldn't require you to purchase a very similar but "opposite facing" product. -Although it claims to have variable speeds based on conditions, I can not say that I've seen that in action. In fact, I've exclusively only seen it ramp up to 10 when conditions for "ON" are met. Example: I set it to begin at 78 degrees. At 77 it is off completely. At 78 it runs from 1-9 in the span of about a minute, and then runs at 10 (highest mode) until the temperature eventually reduces to 77 later in the day. The BAD: -This is pretty expensive for just a ventilation fan. You're paying for the bells and whistles, but honestly I wouldn't mind a WIFI connection so that I can check on the temperature/settings when away (or for attics, so I don't have to crawl up there) -I don't think it really moves THAT much air. If you put your hand behind it, you'll feel a breeze. You'll definitely hear the motor. But I don't think that it's really circulating more than, say, a desk fan would do. It doesn't actually work well enough for what I use it for (ventilating a solar shed), but that wasn't really what it was built to do. All-in-all, it's one of the best products out there for this niche. It's plug-and-go, and it's designed pretty well to withstand tough conditions. Other than the expense and the fact that its variable power isn't really variable (basically just ON and OFF fan modes), it does do its job well. 4 out of 5! -
