KCT Enclosed Hooded Large Cat Litter Box/Pet Loo with Filter - Burgundy

Let's face it no cat box is going to be a dream of any of ours but this comes pretty darned close! It has many good characteristics and I am sooooo pleased I bought it. ++++++++++ The history so far ++++++++++I bought a Cat - It box at a greater price thinking that the few extra features (such as lockable side catches, high back etc) would be worth a little extra money.Cat IT? How wrong was I?!!! When it arrived it was almost impossible to clip the side pieces as the box itself was flimsy and kept moving and the catches had a hurt your hand design and to top it all off the filter was completely exposed and thereby dangerous to kitten! So I took the effort to arrange a return (almost impossible for working people as well!)+++++++++++ and now THIS BOX +++++++++++Scared to order the wrong one again and have the issue of how do I make the return without an office worth of tech, I went for a 'tide me by' option that would still have a hood but be less costly - However, this one is WAY better. Tide me by? Not at all. Superior in price and construction and quality. This is exactly what I thought the first one would be - sturdy plastic so it won't move when you are showering it or scraping out and an easy filter cover which goes a long way to protecting kitten from eating the filter itself. When I lift the handle I am confident it will carry the weight of the box and the litter in it too. I am simply thrilled and no wonder it had sold out in the other two colours. Although I would have chosen grey or blue, this one actually looks quite nice and is a nice shade of burgundy. Its only real draw back is that only has a very small scoop attached which I will leave for emergency use as it really is too small to use daily but I already stretched to a pound and bought one at a local store!All in all, I am no longer looking for a cat box as this one ticks all the boxes (See what I did there!) and I will be coming back at a later date for a second one.Non commission review - simply a fan who didn't expect the 'cheapy' to be the box I wanted. The clips on the side for locking into place are not very good,so I haven’t tried to lock them in case they snap.

Amazing quality for the price. This is as good as a similar (branded) cat litter box I bought previously at three times the price (literally).Our two cats were having problems using the same litter box, so I decided they should each have their own. To prevent them using each other's (an act of aggression on the part of one of them...), I installed SureFlap chip-operated catflaps ( Sureflap Microchip Cat Flap ) in place of the swing doors on both the original branded cat litter box and this one. Both litter boxes stood up to this 'assault' pretty well. The results are highly similar and there's no particular difference in feel or use between the two.The only slight issue I have with this cat litter box is the integral litter scoop, which is not particularly good. Having said that, the branded litter box's scoop isn't much better. Frankly, although having a scoop fitted inside the lids of this type of box is a good idea, it doesn't really work in practice: the scoops have to be small so as to fit, and this makes them too small for easy use. The scoop in the KCT Pet cat litter box is, in addition, bedevilled by spiky bits which makes it difficult to clean. I've simply bought a separate scoop to use instead, which solves that particular problem.I definitely recommend this enclosed cat litter box over its very much more expensive competitors.

Worth every penny large tray under lid and filter is helpful with strong odours

This litter box is great value for money, My so in law thought I’d paid £35 for it. Which shows how good it is.!It keeps nasty smells in and is very easy to clean. Plus the litter stays inside the box and not all over the floor like with other litter trays. My cat didn’t hesitate to use it when it arrived.If you’re looking for a covered litter tray I can’t recommend this one enough

Good value. Only slight problem is I use a plastic covering inside the tray which means the clips are quite hard to fasten.
