The most common floor lamp is a black stick with a shade on top. This is my version. Emerson, like all other lamps in my shop, is made of laminated multiply that is stained and varnished. The lamp has a cast iron counter-weight hidden in the base and requires one 3-way bulb. (An LED bulb is recommended.) At slightly more than 65" tall and 11" across at the base, Emerson is solid, straight and sturdy, and won't wiggle or droop like those spindly metal black floor lamps. Black satin finish and custom colors only. All fittings in nickel. Sold without shade. Order the "best for floor lamps" 3-tiered shade elsewhere in this shop. Or, use your own shade that fits a standard harp. A 9" harp is included. Some simple assembly required.
