will it stick to metal?

Hello - I've just experimented with a two pence piece and it seems to adhere fine. It's a great paste as it is very easy to spread. If you wanted to make doubly sure you could, perhaps, use a thin smear of (possibly watered down) suitable glue underneath? I think it should be fine as it is though. Hope that helps.JPT

Can I mix colour acrylic paint with the paste? Is the finish glossy or matt? Thanks!

Yes. You can mix any colour with it. It does make the final mixed pigment lighter (but not as much as if it were mixed with the same amount of say, white) so does affect the final colour. The final mix is quite matt but mediums can still be added to gloss it up or dull it down. The only slight negative I've found is that it does make the final mix very gritty and not very smooth to apply. But it does add texture that's for sure!

Can this be used with stencils

Yes have used this product with stencils. It worked very successfully.

Does this dry clear or opaque?

Opaque. It's white but you can mix it with acrylic paint to whatever colour you want before you begin. I use it with stencils.
