A: I think so.

**Q: Can it be use ina dishwasher say on back of bottle dishwashers?**
A: I certainly would not use it in a dishwasher.

A: I think it will clean your hiking clothing well. It washes my dog walking coat (which is fully waterproof) very well although this does not get very muddy.

The best of the available simple soap products. It is a shame that it is not possible to buy a reasonable priced laundry bar product, having just returned from Central America where there are plenty of cheap laundry bars that work, it seems that have forgotten that soap is just soap and accept fancy plastic bottles and in the big boys case, millions spent on advertising that we pay for. They always tell you that the new product is better than the last version, when a grated bar of laundry soap will do the trick.
