Eco Books: Inventive Projects from the Recycling Bin

This book is great in presenting creative ideas on how to make books/journals from everyday goodies. The pictures are great and motivate the creative mind to work the magic and attempt to make the books...I had a hard time following the procedures on several of the ones I attempted to create; but that's probably due to my lack of binding knowledge. For me, the book alone gave me enough insight and ideas to branch out with my own creations. I think this is a great book for those who enjoy pushing their creativity into new ventures.

Since I want to create new items from materials I already have on hand this is the right book for me. Repurposing is the way I want to head. This is a good book for anyone who wants to try something new with items they have around the house. I bought this book awhile ago, its been added to my growing collection of books that are similar to this by that I mean reusing items that I already have on hand.

Very clear instructions for how to make books from all kinds of objects. Well worth the money.

Terry Taylor is a wonderful artist whose work I really admire. This book did not disappoint! Who would have thought you could make such a wonderful small book with covers from an egg carton? As well as lots of recycling ideas, I found the book making instructions incredibly easy to follow. All types of binding are covered along with clear photographs and I would feel quite comfortable trying any of these delightful books. If you love the idea of recycling and love to make books, you will love this book.

A lot of fun projects in here with unusual items recycled into book covers. Could only wish for a little more detail in the instructions for actual assembling.

Some different concepts for book making. Several projects worth adapting. I enjoy reading books that offer different book making styles.

A very clever presentation of new uses for old things and new life for items that would normally be thrown away. Fun!

Quite a nice book for a novice bookbinder like me, though I'm not sure I'll ever want to make a book with egg cartons for covers. But there are some wacky-but-cute ideas I might follow up on, like using old cassette tapes and floppy diskettes as covers. And there are stitching techniques it would be handy to be able to practice on relatively "low stakes" projects/materials like cereal packets and used tea bags. All in all, a useful addition to my crafting library.

This book exceeded my expectations - it is full of lots of ideas for making books from used materials (particularly the covers) such as egg boxes, cereal boxes (the small single portion ones) etc. The photos are good. It is also inspiring for coming up with your own ideas.

This book is a great resource to have. It has original and refreshing ideas of recycling, reusing things around you and making into beautiful books. A fascinating book for all re-purposing artists.

Habe mir etwas mehr versprochen. Einige Bücher sind eher Kunstobjekte und wenig alltagstauglich, z.B. ein Buch als Maßband in einem Maßbandabroller oder ein Buch mit Seiten aus Holzblöcken....Aber insgesamt ganz nett zum Durchblättern
