Excellent pre-built PC at a fair price.
edit: I noticed they have raised the price to £999.99, but haven't adding anything new to justify the raising of this price. I paid £799.99 and thought it was fair. £999.99 is not. I recommend buying a PC from Scan UK or somewhere else for £1k, not this.I've been using this PC for a month or so now. It's good, and I cannot fault zoostorm. It's built well, the case has a good amount of IO ports, and the zoostorm people are willing and ready to help. My one and only issue was that the PC comes with a custom bios, and I'm too scared to change settings to flash the default one on there. Keep this in mind, as the newer intel CPU (Kaby Lake) won't be compatable if you buy this exact PC without playing around with the bios. The PC is near enough silent, even when doing demanding tasks or playing high end games. There is a good amount of ventilation too, so I don't see overheating ever being an issue. One complaint is that I didn't receive a Windows disk, or code, inside the box -- the computer comes with Windows 10 preinstalled, but no code or disk. So if I ever need to reinstall, I have to rely on the software code to work (the one you see under 'System' and 'Windows activation'). I assume this will work, but it's a bit annoying that zoostorm leaves you to yourself to make your own recovery USB.That's the review of what Stormforce/zoostorm is selling. They're not necessarily responsible for the rest of the review, whether its positive or not. The PC comes with an i5 6400, this part is clearly the limiting factor. The RAM, the GPU, the primary SSD, they are all amazing. I love the RX480, running DOOM on Vulkan on my ultrawide monitor at 100fps with 'nightmare' level texture cache. 16GB of DDR4 is amazing, multitasking is exceptionally smooth. And loading applications from the SSD is incredible - windows boots in about 5 or 6 seconds. The CPU then, it's not terrible, it's just it is not amazing either. I can run almost all games at fps far exceeding 60. But there are occasions in few games, that I blame the CPU, where it dips below. Particularly in Batman Arkham Knight, and Fallout 4. When you get into the batmobile and race through gotham, the CPU has the hardest time keeping up. I've ran benchmarks from 3dMark too, and while the GPU is able to provide a good experience, the CPU lacks behind. Keep this in mind, and consider buying a Skylake i7 to install yourself at a later date.Overall, the PC was a good purchase and I can 100% recommend this specific PC provided you understand and are okay with the limitations.
