5L of Hibitane Plus contains 5% chlorhexidine which is suitable for disinfecting wounds in catlle, horses and dogs.Also known as hibiscrub, it can be used as a shampoo for bacterial, fungal and yeast infections in all animals. It is one of the main ingredients in the popular veterinary shampoo, Malaseb, which is used to treat Malassezia infections. We recommend diluting it 50:50 with water if using as a wash and leaving it on for 5-10 minutes before rinsing. Repeated use can dry the skin so it is helpful to use a conditiojner afterwards. It is suitable for flushing wounds and abscesses in all animals, again diluted with water. It can be used as a very effective hand wash and it also has excellent effectiveness against ringworm and can be used as a shampoo to complement oral treatments in all animals, including cats.
