Intelligent pornography
This book is widely marketed (even by Moore himself) as pornography and if I'm honest, it is. However, if you actually read the story (rather than just look at the pictures) you'll find it is a quite harrowing tale of abuse and sexual awakenings and how the mind reacts and creates its own realities as a defence mechanism. The story sees the coming together of Alice, Dorothy & Wendy just prior to the start of the First World War and entwines their exploration of each other with the stories of their sexual awakenings and how these translate into the fictions of Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz & Peter Pan.The artwork is beautiful and the story is captivating. Yes, there are some extremely uncomfortable themes in this book however, if you know going into the book that it's about sex and abuse and you know that it's written by Alan Moore then you shouldn't be shocked or surprised by the content.

Simply magnificent
A staggering achievement of a book, Alan Moore is the master of telling you stories that your already know in ways that make you think about them differently. Nothing changes, and yet, everything is different. To say too much is to spoil the impact of this magnificent book, suffice to say that - if you're a (im)mature adult who still reads children's books, as you should aspire to be - you need to have read this.

Beautifully crafted book
This is the penultimate example of pornographic art that works. It is a touching (maybe quite literally) story about how age can distance the fantasy but with a little magic can bring it all back again. There is a lot of sex in this book. A LOT of sex. However is still an important tale of self-fulfillment and evolving from child to adult. The art work is phenomenal, erotic yes, but exceptionally beautiful. Fantastic use of colour representing the deep suppression contrasting with the passionate excitement of sex.Is it off putting these three women are childhood story characters? Only if you insist on looking at them in that way, open your mind and you will see them in an entirely different interpretation. Of course it is not in every ones taste but if you love art and open to the erotic, then this is definitely for you.

I like it
This is a typical Allan Moore book and then again not. It will offend some and dissappoint some but if you, like i, like the way Moore mixes classc stories and you have an open mind about sex you'll like this one. It IS graphic and direct but also highly fascinating and it is NOT a book you read in a day or two.

The reimagining of favourite tales was superior
Bueatiful, the colours and presentation. The reimagining of favourite tales was superior. Not for the faint-hearted mind, it covers some powerful topics and there is so much sex, nudity and taboo that I was a bit sick of it by the end haha! But the clever spin of the tale was winning from cover to cover.

GREAT THANK YOU.

Very nice subject but...
This is a very "art" focused erotic graphic story. The subject is very clever and the drawings very artistic, for a pure erotic view i prefer the Manara-style.
