I have mid-back length, thick, wavy hair. I like hair sticks, forks, and pins to keep my hair up most days. These are super cute, but really long. When I put these in my hair horizontally (like in a lazy wrap or nautilus bun), you can see both ends of the stick sticking out on either side of my head. So if you're looking straight at my face, you would be able to see the stick on both sides of my face. Because they are so long, they seem kind of awkward and I find myself catching them on things throughout the day when I wear them diagonally or vertically. I have quite thick hair and the buns I create have some substance to them, so it's not like I don't have enough hair for these. I just wish they were maybe 2 inches shorter so they didn't stick out from both sides of my head when worn horizontally.

My hair is longer than it has been in years so I have been playing with different, low maintenance styles. I work a 12 hour shift and can’t be playing with my hair all the time. Hair sticks are now one of my go to items, and this one is my favorite. These are both super cute and super functional. They look just like colored pencils.
