The recommended age on the product box was actually 9+, not 7. I bought this product as an AS revision aid for Biology, because my syllabus covers cells and organelles. While this model is obviously aimed at slightly younger learners, I have found this model helpful. It has all the basic organelles of a plant cell, and I like that you can test yourself. It certainly adds some extra interest to revision. The booklet would be better for younger users though. I'm not sure the pictures inside will last if treated roughly; I expect they would peel off. My biggest criticism is the price- I think it is a bit expensive but equally this is the only model I could find that would be affordable (there is a definite shortage of anatomy and biology models to aid revision that aren't too expensive for students).
