Safekom Led Backlit Backlight Illuminated USB Wired Multimedia Ergonomic Gaming Keyboard

Good for the price, could be brighter though. But obviously bright enough to help see the keys in the dark.Originally I went for a backlit keyboard for 2 reasons:1. To see the keys in the dark.2. I assumed in order for the keys to be back lit, they would use some kind of a stencil, to allow light to pass through the keys, which would also prevent the letters from being rubbed off after years of use. (unfortunately not the case with this, I suppose its to be expected for the price.)The keys are actually transparent, with the black painted over the whole keyboard. So if you were concerned about extended usage rubbing keys till the letters are no longer recognizable. Then you might want to go for something a bit more expensive.I've been using mine for a bit over 9 months now, the F and Left Alt keys are completely rubbed clean, exposing the light underneath. As well as my space bar having a massive exposed section where the paint has completely rubbed off.

It is VERY cheap, which I must bear in mind with any review. But here you do very much get what you pay for.I ordered this at the same time as the £20 velocifire illuminated keyboard, and the difference between them is shocking.The velocifier has ultra bright, individually lit keys that are viewable from all angles and perfect for working in the dark.Not so this pluscom effort. It appears to be lit with one or 2 very dim LEDs for the whole keyboard, and the angle of visibility is adequate if you are staring directly down at it. But go 30 degrees off axis, and suddenly you can't see half the letters, and it's actually worse than a non illuminated keyboard ! So, not enough lights, not bright enough, and fails in its most important purpose.Nothing like as bright as the images would suggest.The feel of typing is adequate, though once again trounced by the more expensive version which has great clicky keys as well.When this fails, as it surely will, I'll be replacing it with the velocifire.

The keyboard for playing games is acceptable..But for using it for typing is TerrobleNoticed when I needed to type in power shell the line c:\windows\systemThere is NO. \ key!!!!!!Hence doing this on another keyboardSince found the \ key... its the #~ key using the right alt key..... Still not marked on the keyboard though...still bad!!!!

Unless you are looking directly down at the keys, the lighting of them is not clearly seen.

Great though illumination could be brighter for my poor eyes. would still recommend though.

Box was a likkle but damaged but overall good.I really like this and helps me out a lot.Bigger than expected

Lightweight but effective for the price.

for the price of the key board I will buy again had no problems with it 3 colours for the keys its a win...win
