Transmitter and Receiver would only establish a connection in the same room.
These units look great and worked great ... when used in the same room.I wanted to use them to transmit output from a Satellite receiver in one room to a TV n the room directly beneath - a distance of 3 metres maximum through joists, floorboards, insulation and carpet. The connection would not establish. The instruction booklet doesn’t provide enough detail on the units, in particular the different modes of the lights so here is what I found out:Both units have the same indications.Red LED - indicates power supply: off = no power; on (steady glow) = powered up.Green LED - indicates connection status between the Transmitter (TX) and Receiver (RX). The different modes appear to be (in the order they will appear):Off - no connectionSlow flashing - searching for the paired unitFast flashing - establishing a connection to the paired unitOn (steady glow) - connection established and signal is being transmitted & receivedNote that during the fast flashing period, I found that the HDMI connections have to be ‘live’ from the units to the source (satellite receiver) and target (TV) to establish the connection. There is a little black ‘button’ on the side of each unit near the connecting points which is a reset button. This restarts the connection process.Having tried various connection distances and rooms, I had only one success and that was with both TX and RX units in the same room, approximately 3-4 metres apart. The effect was great but pointless in the same rooom. I tried the room immediately below and next door without a successful connection. I even tried putting a TV with the RX unit just outside the door of the room where the TX unit resided but the connection would again not establish. So after fiddling around for nigh on 2 hours, I decided enough was enough and am returning the product. This is a real shame as it promised so much and given other reviews, I expected it to work just fine,Without wireless connections established, I might as well run HDMI cable between the upper and lower rooms to achieve the desired outcome. I was hoping to avoid the visible wires by use no this product.

Works OK for low quality video such as TV sat but not for home theater.
2017-05-16 Reviewed commentActually, the reason why the iamge was degraded was the refresh frequency of the screen. Putting to 30 Hz solved the issue so 3 star instead of 2...Initial Comment:Unfortunately disappointed. The image is degradated quite a lot. It works OK for low quality video such as TV sat. But not for home theater.
