The Mushroom Monster is nourished by coffee so that every kid can grow their own mushrooms at home. That way they will be able to initiate themselves into the fascinating world of the mycology and the recycling in an easy and secure way. Each monster contains a sealed bag with oyster mushroom mycelium incubated on recycled coffee grounds. Its use is very easy. You only have to open the window in the box, make a cut in the bag, immerse it into water for 24 hours, introduce it again in the box, and moisten the substratum daily. The first mushrooms will start sprouting after a few days. It is possible to obtain up to 3 harvests, being the total amount of about 500g. Once the cultivation has been completed, the substratum becomes an excellent natural fertiliser that you will be able to use in your pots or garden.Each kit includes crayons to colour the monster and a sprayer to water it.

5* customer service
Bought as gift, but looks fab and fun. Company were brilliant and dispatched very quickly. They also emailed me (unprompted) English language instructions prior to kit arriving. So 5* for customer service and 5* for fun kit. As for the results, we'll have to wait & see but instructions very clear and stated 2 crops possible.Bought in May. It's now August and I am happy to report not one crop but FOUR. I have photos but unable to load. Alot of fun and highly recommended.

Great Gift
After problems with delivery, which were not the sellers fault, I've got the item, the seller has sent english instructions which is great, and the item looks great, I don't know how well it works as it's a Christmas Gift - but very nice gift to give :)

Very disappointed. Mushroom growing already on opening the box , unpleasant smell And unusable. A very disappointing item being returned immediately
