Pinocchio And The Emperor Of The Night

From the studio that made He-Man and She-Ra comes this original story about the little wooden boy who became real. Filmation really went out of their way to make this. Not relying on repeated animation they were known for, and using big names like James Earl Jones. We find Pinocchio on his first human birthday being trusted to deliver a jewel box commisioned by his father from the mayor. On his way he is swindled by 2 conmen and running into a carnival with a dark secret.A lot of this film treads on familiar ground as the Disney film. I think it was intended to be a sequal to the original story than an unoffical follow up to the Disney as many claim. Still worth watching.

I have wanted this on DVD for so long. This was one of my favourite versions. Nothing like Disney & used to put the fear of God into my younger brother. Ooops!

Brilliant film!i used to watch it all the time with my children wen they were young,and now i wil be watching it with my grandson.

I use to watch this when I was a child and I loved it so I had to buy it n watch it again

This is probably why Filmation went out of business. The producers of my favourite cartoons and live shows from the 1960s-70s were wasted on this lame sequel with none of Yvette Blais's great music. I still buy it as a fan of the company, but it's not their best work.
