I immediately called Mike and told him the GREAT news. I was overwhelmed with joy
I broke a stainless steel bolt inside a cast aluminum bracket. This was on the main steering arm on a boat. I attempted to drill out the bolt and remove it with an extractor. As I was drilling the pilot hole, I broke the drill bit off deep inside the bolt. I attempted to buy other harden drill bits. I was able to drill into the bolt but as soon as I reached the broken bit I was done.I attempted to take my boat to a machine shop and a welding shop. Both shops told me there was nothing they could do to help. Next I went to a marine repair shop. They were very helpful but could not help me remove the bolt and bit. I was quoted a starting price of $1500 dollars to remove the motor and replace the steering arm bracket. So after days of research I found out about the Rescue Bit. I decided to give it a try. I followed the instructions provided, starting with a 800 RPM drill and lite pressure I was able to drill out the bit and most of the bolt. I called Mike at Rescue Bit and asked for advise on finishing the job. He was very helpful and supportive. Mike told me to use another drill and increase the RPM to 2600. He also told me to add more pressure. He said I might damage the Rescue Bit but he ensured me I'd finish the job. Mike told me to call him back as soon as I was done, no matter what time.I did as I was told and within minutes, I had drill through the stainless steel bolt. I was so relieved of the stress. My boat had been out of service for a month. I immediately called Mike and told him the GREAT news. I was overwhelmed with joy. This is a most buy. This product works. If you have and questions go the the Rescue Bit website and watch the videos and call Mike. You will be convinced.THANK YOU MIKE AND RESCUE BIT !!!!

Did not work as advertised. I followed the instructions ...
Did not work as advertised. I followed the instructions to the letter. I was only drilling out a drill bit and both ends of the rescue bit broke off very quick. For how expensive this bit was I expected it to work.

It does work if used correctly; NOTE: High RPMs may be required!
Be sure to start at low speeds, then work your way up. My best results were seen with a 1/8" Rescue Bit in a Dremel at ~30,000RPMs. Excessive pressure is never needed. Hold the tool (Dremel) firmly to keep it from moving and apply light pressure while drilling/reaming.Definitely worth the price because it actually does work if used correctly!
