I have had this phone mount in my car just over a year now. The temperature range has been from the teens to around 100 degrees (F) and the base is still firm on the dashboard. The magnet has held up and still holds my phone well. Originally I had the metal disc on the phone behind a light plastic case and it still held tight, the only caveat was I had to make sure I lined up the metal disc with the magnet. Later I bought a heavier case and mounted the disc on the back of the case. This has been well worth the money, and honestly, I expected I would have to replace the adhesive every 6 months or so given the fluctuation in temperature.

This is a heavier metal-body magnetic holder that comes with two metal disks to make the back of your phone magnetic (they're slim enough to fit under my TPU-material phone case). Has stayed firmly attached to my dash at my desired angle since installation. Didn't come with instructions, which would have been good: when I installed it, it immediately fell off the dash. I ended up treating it like most 3M sticking products: I firmly held it in place for 30 seconds and then didn't use it to hold my phone until the next day. I've had it for several weeks now and it's held up fine even in the freezing air. The magnet has been strong enough to hold my iPhone SE in the position in which I place it (no spinning).

It is nice and small. It is smaller than the picture. The magnet is not that strong and does not hold my phone with the case. My case is thin too, so I thought it would hold. But since it is cheap I am not complaining or changing it. I just take my case off every time I will use it.

The seller if this item has been great in helping me solve the problem and getting another one shipped out to me.I bought this for my wife's iPhone. We placed the sticky side on the dash (after having cleaned it well), and after about 5 minutes, the holder fell off. The stickiness is completely gone (don't know how sticky it was to begin with) and would not even hold its own weight on the dashboard.

LOVE these. Have been using magnet holders for our phones for years, but prefer to put the metal disk inside the case. My wife did not like her CD mount one because it was in the way. So I tried to find ones that were stronger than the others. These are the STRONGEST we have had yet. Also, with the entire face being rubber, the phones don't slip at all. She and I both LOVE these. I even replaced the ones in my truck because these are so much stronger.

The product is a joke . The glue is not sticky enough to to hang 0n and hold an iPhone 8 Plus. The the metal part that you stick to the backside of the phone ( the case) won’t come off the case therefore it ruins your case so you have to purchase a new case. Don’t buy this product. Horrible !!

This is the best phone holder ever! I attached it to to the front dashboard near the radio dials and it doesn't show when not in use. Very small buthas strong magnetic hold. I like it much better than the one I have with a suction cup and only works on the top of the dash.

EDIT: So first hot day and the sticker turned to mush - the magnet is good and the idea is good - sticker for mount/terrible A must have for my cellphone! no more falling between seats or in the floor!
