Very useful
Light and easily packable, this is a terrificly useful balance. I had a luggage scale previously (which I gave to a relative) but it was heavier and more awkward to use. The TripNeeds scale is well priced, easy to use, and all together more compact.

This device is a must have. The readings are pretty accurate so we are fairly confidant when we get to the check in desk. It is also fairly lighweight so it is easy to take with you to check the cases on the way home. Worth getting a spare battery or two though just in case.

Not up to spec
My scales look exactly like the photo, but do not function quite as advertised in that there is no audible "beep" when the scales lock, so the screen needs to be checked instead. The instructions say the screen will blink when the weight has locked, this does not happen either, instead a small and difficult to read "H" appears. The whole point of the "beep" is that you don't have to look at the screen when holding the luggage.The battery was difficult to fit as the small holder did not push back into the body easily, and the advertised spare was not supplied.No idea yet how reliable or accurate they are. [2014-01-04 edit: Finally checked at airport and came out within about .1 kg for three bags around 20kg, errors were to over-read. I was impressed.]2014-01-01 More: One problem is that when you hold the bags so that you can see when the "H" appears it is not easy to keep the scales steady so that the display stops changing and locks, so it is almost easier to simply take the "average" of the changing figures, which kind of defeats the purpose of a lock function. Maybe I'm just not steady enough.A pity as these looked like the best of the bunch when I compared them to the others (in this price range).Also the journey from Hong Kong took over six weeks total, ie two weeks longer than advertised, they were despatched promptly though. Other similar parcels from Hong Kong have arrived much more quickly.I've checked with another seller and they say that their scales do not "beep when locked", so it would seem the description may be wrong.

Good Value
Worked well first time.Inserting the battery required some thought but apart from that the instructions were very clear. The readout is not backlit so might be an issue in some lighting conditions but for the price it's great value for money.

Unreliable
I bought this to replace old scales. From the start i was concerned at the very poor battery life then literally the day before i was due to fly it died totally.I did not find it easy to hold and view and only give it one star as i have re-used the strap. The only worthwhile bit on these scales.

Digital Luggae Scale
This item arrived very quickly, and was well packaged, but I was surprised that the battery was already fitted. I chose this design because of the T Bar handle design, making it possible to use both hands to lift a heavy case. It is simple to use, easily attached to the suitcase handle, reasonably quick in operation, and the digital readout is easy to read. However, it appears to record 1Kg lighter than the actual weight of the case (at 20Kg), which could have resulted in my paying out excess baggage, if I had not checked its accuracy. It is light enough to take with you, to check your cases, for the return journey. Overall, I would say that I am satisfied with this purchase.

Good product, took ages to arrive!
Product took about 6 week to arrive, after we were going away, so I've not had chance to use it. Once it arrived I had a mess about with it and it seems ok but won't know for sure until we take it on holiday.

Good value
I once paid overweight for an excess of 100g, so I needed a better way to weight my hand luggage than the bathroom scale.This is cheap and probably not the most exact scale, but it does the job and until now confirms all the values that I measured.As an extra this is fitted with a thermometer, and you can change easily the units from metric to imperial.

Plagiat!!
Zunächst musste ich einen Monat auf die Lieferung warten, bis die Kofferwaage endlich ankam. Die Waage wurde einfach in eine kleine Versandtüte gesteckt. Kein Polster, keine Umverpackung, nichts. Das Material wirkt äußerst billig. Auch das Logo von Leovar ist auf der Waage nicht zu finden. Also gehe davon aus, dass ein Plagiat ist. Zudem lag keine Bedienungsanleitung dabei. Auch die versprochene Batterie war nicht dabei. Wenn man das Batteriefach öffnet muss man rätseln, welche Flachbatterie man wohl kaufen soll und wierum sie eingesetzt werden muss. Keinerlei Zeichen auf dem Batteriehalter. Daher konnte ich die Waage auch nicht testen. Auch wenn die Waage mit guten 4€ sehr günstig war, geht das aber mal so gar nicht.

Funktioniert gut
Habe diese Gepaeckwaage fuer den Urlaub gekauft, um das Gewicht der Koffer vor dem Rueckflug zu checken.Handhabung ist recht einfach - Gurt um den Griff eines Koffers legen und einhaken, Geraet anschalten, Koffer mit dem Waagengriff anheben und kurz warten bis es piept. Die Messung sind recht reproduzierbar, wobei ich eher 0,5kg unter dem maximalen Koffergewicht (des Fluges) bleiben wuerde, um auf Nummer sicher zu gehen.Das Problem mit sich entladenden Batterien lässt sich leicht loesen, wenn man die Schutzfolie, die den Kontakt zwischen den Batterien unterbricht, nicht gleich wegwirft sondern nach Gebrauch wieder einsetzt. Dann kann das versentliche Druecken der Anschnalltaste waherend der Reise nicht mehr zum Verbrauch der Batterien fuehren.

Eine Frage bleibt!
Mit der Kofferwaage habe ich meinen Urlaubeskoffer gewogen, der nicht mehr als 23 Kilo wiegen darf.Nachdem ich die Anleitung gelesen habe, muss ich den Koffer mit einer Hand so lange halten, bis die Waage 3x gepiept, und das Display dreimal aufgeblinkt hat. Dazu bin ich kräftemäßig nicht in der Lage (vielleicht bin ich mit 1.63 m und 52 Kg zu klein und dünn!?). Ich habe es bis zu einer Minute ausgehalten, den wohl etwa 15 Kilo schweren Koffer in einer Hand zu halten, aber sie hat nur einmal gepiept und aufgeblinkt hat gar nichts.Das habe ich dann mehrere Male gemacht, in der Hoffnung, dass die 15 Kilo stimmen, die die Waage nach einem Mal piepen anzeigt.Schade, vermutlich bin ich zu schwächlich, den Koffer lange genug hoch zu halten! Ich hoffe, das Ergebnis stimmt trotzdem...!

Endlich etwas was auch funktioniert.
Tolles Teil, haben wir für unsere aller erste Reise überhaupt gekauft, das Gewicht hat bis auf 1-2 gramm genau gestimmt. Auch auf der Rückreise beim testen welcher Koffer noch Souvenirs aufnehmen kann hat uns dieses Teil hohe Gepäckkosten erspart.Die Waage selber ist sehr leicht und auch leicht in der Handhabung. Einfach anschalten, Schlaufe um den Koffer legen, Koffer anheben, kurz still halten und man hat das Gewicht!. Einfacher geht es nicht und ich bin begeistern von diesem Teil.Wohl das beste was man zu diesem Preis kaufen kann.
