I was skeptical even after reading the reviews - I was not sure if all the reviews were real. The circle part fits perfectly into the press so there is no waste out the top (I had that problem with my old one that was an oxo off brand and it broke after many good years .... ). This is the best garlic press I have used, it even fits more garlic then I am used to. The press can be hard to use if you put to much garlic in it, but if you do one clove at a time it is fine.

When I purchased this garlic press it had 600+ five star reviews, now those are gone and it is left with less than 20. Used the press about 5 times and it was great, but today the press had enough. This kind of metal fatigue seen in the picture is a direct cause of using a poor or contaminated metal alloy. Also, some rust can be seen in the joint rivets. Lucky that I'm still within the return period.

This thing is a huge time saver for adding garlic, but even after peeling the garlic, I still find this press leaves a fair amount of it inside that doesn't get forced through the holes.For ginger this is much worse. I've tried several times with ginger and each time it seems to just juice the root and leave the rest of it in the press. This means I have to scrape it out of the press and dice it up like I would have done without the press.As for durability, I can feel the press flex quite a bit while squeezing the handles. I wonder how many uses I'm going to get out of it before something bends or breaks. From its appearance in the photos, I thought it might have been solidly constructed. This does not appear to be the case.

I was really excited about using this garlic press after reading the positive reviews. I've tried so many other garlic presses that were cumbersome and difficult to press and this works beautifully. However, after only 2 uses, a large portion of the inside looks like it's rusting and tarnishing. I only used it with garlic and put it in the dishwasher twice. The description says it won't rust and that it's made of a high quality material but that is definitely not the case. The overall design is excellent but I'm really disappointed the press is not made with a higher quality material. Sadly, my only option is to return it.

Bought as a Christmas gift for my mom. I was skeptical because the packaging was off. Clearly packed/manufactured in a non-english speaking country, the box was labeled "Hand Pressure the Garlic". But, my mom loves it and says it is the best garlic press she has owned!

This really is the best. No joke.. It's my third and last garlic press. Easy to clean. Easy to use, no waste. The price is right. Much better than my more expensive ones.

It started to rust after the first use!!! And I was careful to hand wash it. Terrible quality! Hopefully they will make it right with a refund but don’t waste your money on this one.

It worked fine for about 3 years of rare usage and then i pressed too hard this week and the steel snapped. Buy a more rugged garlic press if you are strong
