London College of Music Acoustic Guitar Initial Stage (with CD)

Thin book but worth it, my son was a complete beginner a few months ago and now working towards exams/grading he is using this alongside his weekly lessons.

I love the RGT's stuff and use it all the time. This one is a bit thin though. It's only really suitable for use with a tutor and I wouldn't recommend to anyone wanting to teach themselves. If using with a tutor they could back it up with extra material as there is very little actually in this book.

used for teaching in schools. for 12+ students i skip straight to grade 1

Well written, easy to understand, guide. This is the very first of the set of guides and is suitable for anyone, child or adult embarking on the journey of mastering the guitar. Highly recommended.

Excellent series of books. Clear and simple to understand just right for steady progress.

Great easy to use book for my 8 yr old who is just starting guitar lessons. Its really helping her to learn.
