Reducing the impressions on the carpet after 1 week's use so far. No noticeable slippage when sitting in the chair but the legs do find their own place to settle which is sometimes to the side. 4 stars because of this - it would be handy if there was something inside the cup, perhaps silicone or a similar anti slip coating, to prevent this as I'm sure it means there are slightly uneven marks on the carpet. However, still improved on the marks made by the small diameter of the chair legs previously and I'm sure less damaging to the carpet.

I have a small folding table that leaves deep marks in the carpet that take ages to fade so I though I would try these and what a difference, they still leave a mark but it goes very quickly and now I feel the carpet will not get ruined. Great product at a good price, very happy.

After these arrived, I wondered if they actually were intended as Castor cups? I have a heavy chest of drawers on castors and found that one of these castor cups splintered and cracked under the weight. So that was one down, three left. A few days later a neighbour asked me if I knew of anything that would hold a poster safely in a mailing tube, and I gave her two of the castor cups which fitted each end of the tube perfectly. That left me with just one. Small paper clips fit perfectly well into it, so it now sits on my desk as a pin and paperclip holder! One reviewer has already stated that these cups can create a bigger indentation in your carpet than the actual castor, so if you do buy them and find them unsuitable, there are other uses for them, including mini ash trays. You pays your money (luckily not a lot for these) and you takes your choice. I suggest that something more substantial would be a better buy.

No issues

So far two of the cups have broken & chairs tend to slip off the cups as soon as anyone sits on one. They are too brittle to work well so while cheap they don't work so would not buy again. LATEST - Now pretty much all have broken because as soon as anyone sits on the chair or sofa they break & shatter into hard sharp shards which shoot in every dirrection but don't worry, you'll find them when you tread on them, especially with no shoes on! Waste of money unless you neither intend to move or sit on the chair or sofa so don't bother to buy.

I bought these to protect my new carpet as the chair legs are very pointed and leave deep indentations which never seem to go away when you move the furniture. In addition to protecting the carpet, these make it easier to slide the furniture for cleaning etc. These are quite a snug fit on my chair as the legs are square, however this means they don't move around when I move the chair whilst a larger size would. Happy with my purchase.
