I purchased the xiron, not the ventos tablet from Lidl, but since there are no Trekstore reviews yet, here is mine. My tablet does not fail to impress. A friend got the same one and he is also happy. It has quad core and is speedy, the ips screen is stunning, and it has a hdmi slot which some tablets do not have. However, the camera is poor, unusable really. The reason I initially gave it 3 stars instead of five is that when I plug it into my Windows XP computer via the usb cable supplied, the 'found new hardware' wizard comes up, and then it fails to find the driver or software to install the tablet. There is no CD in the box. So therefore the computer is not able to recognise this Surftab as an external drive. This means I am unable to transfer files, photos, music etc from the computer to the Surftab. I consulted my friend who bought the same tablet, and he has the same problem. No file transfer between computer and tablet via the usb cable hook-up is a big problem.UPDATE: I have emailed Trekstore from their website, and they responded within 48 hours, excellent service. They explained how to transfer files. Their explanation was incorrect, just the same as it was in the instruction book, but I figured it out in the end. Result: stunning photos can be displayed on it from my canon camera, or my blackberry playbook and my mobile phone. Happy!The inbuilt camera on the Surftab isnt very good, otherwise this would be 5 star plus. My friend is happy with his Surftab too.
