We love a band that can give us a thrill
I'm pretty rubbish at writing reviews so I'll get straight to the point. This is another great album by the Hawklords. Its like Hawkwind had gone into suspended animation after recording the Levitation album only to be re-woken by professor Harvey Bainbridge 32 years later. There's 100% new material with the same energy drive and space rock as before, plus some great songs on every album. The standout track on Fusion is SR-71, which takes off and just keeps climbing. One warning though, the CD lists this track as 4:29 long but it stay's in your head for far longer.More time than it takes to write this review, as some of you will have noticed.

QUALITY ALBUM
I really like this album, the best Hawklords album to date, in my opinion. The band members work well together and there is not a dud song, or a filler, to be found here. An added bonus is having Kim McAuliffe (of Girlschool) guesting on vocals for SR-71.The tour which promoted the album was top notch too...these guys just keep on getting better.

SR71 You'require a go go go.....
SR71 You're a go go go go......As a previous reviewer has already mentioned, these guys definitely don't hang about and an album and a tour each year is pretty good going. As has also already been said it is inevitable that this album would be compared to their previous amazing offering and in comparison it does come (a close) second - definitely worth buying worth seeing live and worth supporting a true people's band

superb
Eagerly anticipated, certainly dosent disappoint .Always a joy when Hawklords release a new album as you know it will be backed up with a full tour at some really interesting venues.Have been to see them a lot of times and am really looking forward to seeing them again, such a great personable bunch of lads my personal favorite track is The time that we forgot although the song is listened to with a heavy heart at the moment after the death of our 15 year old black lab .Harley who also saw them many times at the sonic rock festivals .Buy it enjoy and above all get out to one or more of the live shows....bring it on

Derdrum-derdrum -derdrum-derdrum derdrum-derdrum-derdrum!
Another beautifully recorded album. Another reviewer thought it was short, but it's the length that albums always used to be. I'd rather have an album like this where every track gets it just right than an album with 'padding' tracks.. quantity doesn't beat quality. Eminently listenable and a much better lead vocal than much Hawkwind vocals recently. Ron Tree just gets better. The last album was more innovative and arguably Hawkwind material is more innovative??. But this is really excellent, delivering exactly what I hoped for.

Great stuff!
Following on from all the previous this is not a let-down. Only took one play before I knew this was another good solid album. One very minor gripe, only 45 minutes! Bit longer next time lads and a concert in the Southampton area would be appreciated.

So 2016 wasn't all bad, then. Music to soothe a fractured soul. The Hawklords improve with each album and who, for once, cares if it's a bit samey. Sometimes that is just what you need.
