Because of it it doesn't show in Smart Life. It doesn't show in Google home. It does show in Alexa though and you can automate it there. Again it has to be connected to Hub for that. **Q: Does this connect to Tapo H200 hub?** A: Yes **Q: How do i activate a philips led strip with this motion sensor? Do i need a strip light also connected with wifi?** A: You need this sensor connected to Tapo Hub and Hub connected to your wifi network and LED strip needs to be connected to wifi as well. Then you can use Alexa to control it. It doesn't show up in Google home or Smart Home apps ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value *by N***U on 13 October 2025* High quality motion sensor and it's haven't had a false alarm in 4-6 months even thought my other motion sensor constantly had false alarm. The tp link app is also very well made You can you a 3rd party app named ifttt to get a call when ever motion is detected ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product *by A***A on 22 April 2026* Excellent product, you have to buy complete set with hub, this single piece doesn't work, you can add multiple decided to that hub ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very useful and effective sensor, but over priced! *by R***N on 1 May 2024* I have 8 x TP-Link Tapo T100 120° PIR Smart Motion Sensor with Motion-Activated Light, Energy Saving, Battery-Powered, Real-Time Notifications, Device Sharing installed at various places in home and covered outdoor. I use it to track movements in areas with Alex accouterments and control video camera or lights automation. I received 4 physically defective devices as it developed visible crack on sensor cover out of box (got it replaced twice as send time also boxed pack sensor had same issue), so make sure you inspect device as soon as you unbox it. I also had some connectivity issues with a few of the sensors, but after troubleshooting and resetting them, they have been working smoothly. The motion detection is quite accurate and the 120° PIR sensor covers a wide area, making it perfect for monitoring larger spaces. The motion-activated light is a great feature, as it helps conserve energy by only turning on when motion is detected. One of the best things about these sensors is the real-time notifications. Whenever motion is detected, I receive an instant notification on my phone, allowing me to quickly check the live feed from my security cameras or turn on the lights in that area. This has been very helpful in keeping my home secure and also saving energy by not leaving lights on unnecessarily. I also appreciate the device sharing feature, which allows me to grant access to family members or housemates so they can also receive notifications and control the sensors. This has been convenient for when I am away from home and someone needs to check on things. Overall, I am satisfied with the TP-Link Tapo T100 120° PIR Smart Motion Sensors. They have been a useful addition to my home security system project. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable motion sensor option. ## Frequently Bought Together - Tapo Tp-Link T100 120° Pir Smart Motion Sensor with Motion-Activated Light, Energy Saving, Battery-Powered, Real-Time Notifications, Device Sharing - Tapo Tp-Link T110 Smart Door/Window Contact Sensor,Real-Time Monitor,Instant Push Notification,Battery Included,Easy Installation,Work with Alexa, Hub Required Sold Separately - Tapo Tp-Link H200 Smart Hub with Built-in Chime, Requires 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi, Connect Up to 64 Smart + 4 Camera Devices, Sub-1G Low-Power Wireless Protocol, 512Gb Local Storage --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/507087259-tapo-tp-link-t100-120-pir-smart-motion-sensor-motion](https://www.desertcart.be/products/507087259-tapo-tp-link-t100-120-pir-smart-motion-sensor-motion) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
