Got the instructions online as follows:Enter training mode:1. Make sure all doors are open.2. Make sure key is OFF.3. Press and release brake pedal.4. Cycle key from OFF to RUN 3 times, ending in RUN.5. Press and release brake pedal.6. Turn key to OFF.7. Cycle key from OFF to Run 3 times, ending in Run. (The horn will blow indicating system is in training mode)8. Tried the item anyway, since I assume that the car recognised the original tires but would not know they are now rotated. For our car, which has a pushbutton start, the method is as follows. Push and release the brake. Turn the car on with a two second push of the start button and turn off the car with a quick push twice.. Turn on the car a third time with a two second push. Push and release the brake. Turn the car off with a quick push. Turn the car on with a two second push of the start button and turn off the car with a quick push two more times. Turn on the car a sixth time with a two second push. The horn should honk to indicate train mode and the dash will tell you what tire to do (left front first). Hold this handy gadget against the wheel at the valve stem and push the button. The light on the tool will illuminate and a few seconds later the horn honks. Proceed following the order displayed on the dash until all four tires are done (right front, right rear, left rear). I think the car then turned itself off, but I could have been mistaken. Note this item works without needing to open the original packaging, so if it does not work it would be easy to return. This item came in an sealed Motocraft plastic bag. I tossed it in the back with the tire repair kit.
