XyzalAllergy 24 Hour, 55 Count (Pack of 2)

Very interesting packaging - seems like it's something that's meant for bulk purchase.I got these pills at $29.91 on Amazon from a third party seller named "Fidelium Industries" - I'm sure if you're reading this review it'll probably be another seller. Get it as cheap as possible. This particular packaging comes as a two-pack like shown and each bottle contains 55 pills; that's about 28 cents per pill which is a very good deal. Cheaper than the other offerings on Amazon and cheaper than the exorbitant prices at Walgreens or CVS.Packaging was a pain as it's old style blister packaging but the pills come in convenient bottles. I found out about these while walking down the CVS aisle wondering if I should buy Zyrtec pills as I have very chronic hives that desperately need antihistamines to treat them. Saw these pop up, looked them up and decided to try them out. From what I understand, Xyzal is essentially a smaller more compact version of Zyrtec. There's a whole bunch of chemistry stuff I don't understand but it seems like Xyzal essentially is a "honed" version of Zyrtec - the primary chemicals that treat your allergies are the same, but some of it is... more refined - if that makes sense in the Xyzal than the Zyrtec.The side effect of this medicine is that it actually makes the pill to swallow MUCH smaller. Zyrtec's pill was already small enough, but Xyzal's even smaller. On top of that, because the pill for the medicine is more refined there's an even LESSER chance of drowsiness, which is good if you avoided taking Zyrtec due to drowsy side effects. Those "second generation" antihistamines in general are supposed to be non-drowsy but it's not a 100% thing, so it may be in your best interest to try these out if Zyrtec makes you drowsy. Xyzal is marketed as a "third generation" antihistamine, so take that for what you will.Regardless, because the price of these pills seem to be cheaper from third party sellers, shop around on Amazon - the price/pill seems to be much lower for Xyzal than it is for Zyrtec, so it's worth a shot to try these if Zyrtec is either too expensive or making you drowsy.

I have suffered from severe outdoor allergies all of my life. I have been to several allergy specialists, underwent testing (multiple times) and have tried more antihistamines than I care to admit. No matter which active ingredient I tried, I always ended up having to take more than one (even when it said "24 Hour Relief") to get my symptoms to subside somewhat. I was preparing to drive several hours away to try a new holistic treatment and decided to try this before going that route.This stuff is MAGIC! I have been using it now for well over a month. I don't experience any side effects and I have literally had ZERO symptoms! No more hives, constant runny nose, chapped nostrils, etc. It actually lasts for the full 24 hours, too! I highly recommend giving this a try. It's been a life changer for me.

I've suffered from horrible allergies for years. I've tried Benadryl, Claritin, and Zyrtec, local honey, singing nettles, Allergena (zone 9), etc. and they have all helped to an extent, but none as much as Xyzal.Normally, allergies cause my body to produce an endless steam of mucus, often causing coughing fits and allergy induced asthmatic attacks. All of the allergy products I've tried either don't work well enough, don't work long enough, cause excessive drowsiness, don't work as long as advertised, it don't work for all of my allergens. I have plenty of environmental allergies and am also allergic to dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. Working at an animal hospital 40+ hours a week, and then coming home to my own pets, I rarely, if ever, get any relief.Xyzal provides me about 22-23 hours of allergy relief, including from my own pets. At about 30-40 cents per pill, I find it to be a much more affordable option than many other options on the market, as well.Honestly, my only complaint is the fact that the packaging is excessive, wasteful, and a little bit difficult to open.

Many allergy sufferers find that you have to change up your allergy Meds every year, as they stop working after a while. Well, unfortunately Xyzal is no different, in that it too has to be changed or rotated out as it too becomes completely ineffective. Add to that frustration, the high price per dose. Amazon is about the best place to find it, but still not nearly as cheap as the old standby,(with drowsiness as an unavoidable side effect.) Benadryl. So try it and enjoy it, but don't plan on that working forever.

Bought these at a drug store first after other medications wouldn't work for me. Glad these are no longer prescription only because they have helped me so much with my allergies. I get allergies with pollen and cats. Usually spring is my greatest problem. I would take them in the morning when my sneezing, watery eyes, and mucus started. They work within minutes. Another plus side is the pill size! They are so small and easy to swallow. Also, I decided to order through amazon because the price is lower.

Antihistamines are a strange grouping of medications. Some will work well and help you breathe or stop watery eyes. Others will help with one problem and not help with another, while other meds seem to be placebos and do nothing.. I have four the Zyrtec does actually help me and clears my stuffy nose. The bottle says the potency is enough for 24 hours, but don’t believe it . In my case it seems to work for about 10 hours and that’s it! Some people may find the effectiveness is good for 24 hours. That is why writing a review on a medication is almost impossible. Everyone reacts differently to the same medication.I do find that when I take the Xyzal, it does lsdt a while and does indeed helpUnclog my nose and help a little bit with tearing of the eyes.All I can say is purchase a small bottle to determine how it works for you.
