89- How Arsenal did the impossible [DVD]

A great DVD featuring the ultimate climax of Arsenal snatching that last minute winning goal of that last match of the 88 - 89 season to claim the title. A brilliant gem for any Gunners fan.

Given as a present very happy with it.

This dvd brings back many happy memories for me. It is nice to get the inside view of the players looking back on that night.I don't like all the scenes showing what life was like back in 89, I know, I was there, but I can see why they are there as for younger viewers it does provide some context, and the music that goes with it is relevant to the time.The only naughty thing that they have done with this film is the scene where George Graham has the team sat down and is talking about bad media coverage. This is a scene from the Arsenal Christmas video for the 89/90 season, i.e. the season after we won the championship. So that scene happened about 5 months after we won at Anfield and George is talking about the points deduction we got after our fracas with Norwich at home.All in all though, well worth a watch, especially for Gooners.

Any Arsenal fan will love it naturally. The production is nothing groundbreaking but doesnt have to be, and everything you see in this you know about already - as has been talked about for years but there was some nice anecdotes I didn't know previously like lee dixon's fish and chips story - hilarious. Overall can't go wrong as the subject matter is so iconic.

I was expecting the actual match. Just as well I had a copy to watch. That team will always be Gods to me. I love the manager - everyone. Amazing night - thank you for the wonderful memory xx

I loved this film and will enjoy watching it again. The interviews with players were interesting and it was great to see some familiar faces again. If you are an Arsenal fan, this is a must.

Brilliant dvd

Primarily, intended for all Arsenal fans this DVD would also entertain true football supporters - though maybe Liverpool fans might want to watch through their fingers! An intriguing insight of what happened at the climax of the 1988-89 season with ex-player and fan comments interspersed throughout. A season that will probably never be exceeded for the dramatic culmination. A great watch - even if you know the end result!
