Travel Pack (Military Travel Pack) 5 Beard Oil Sample Pack

I’ve been trying to find a new beard oil. I’ve only used Whiskey, Ink & Lace in the past and while I love their fragrances I wanted something different that would compliment my new cologne, not overpower it. I’ve purchased at least 5 different brands and wasted a ton of money. Most oils use synthetic fragrances that instantly stop me up or give me a headache while wearing them. Why are the bad scents always the hardest to scrub off?I decided to try one more time, this time getting a sampler pack. Yes, you don’t get as much product but you are saving in the long run by not blind buying and getting stuck with a nasty scent.These scents are incredible! Soft enough that you aren’t going to bother someone in the room and strong enough that you’ll be catching little whiffs all day.Important: the two scents with the darker wood labels are made with premium ingredients, hence why the full bottles are $15 more. They feel totally different than the normal ones and have more complex scent profiles. If you feel like the scents are duplicated in the trial size it’s because the ingredients are similar in the premium products but amped up. The oil has a darker tint as well because of the ingredients (I was on the verge of making my own beard oil so I wouldn’t have to waste any more money. Argan oil is notorious for smelling like barnyard hay but BB must used more refined ingredients).Also kudos to BB for creating such a nice presentation for samples. Most samples you are lucky to get a vial that doesn’t leak and is made of plastic. These are glass bottles with wood labels in an awesome tin...seriously well worth the money!

Ok, it is a sample set, but at $30, aren't you trying to bring me on board as a long-term customer Bearded Bastard (BB)?I'm not going to spend $25-30 for every balm in my instance to only end up returning the fragrances I don't like. Is that your goal... because $30 for these tiny sample oils is about 3x's higher in pricing than they should be for someone generally interested in becoming a loyal customer. You almost didn't have me as a customer.Anyhow, I have no gripes with the product in terms of fragrance, quality and consistency so far. BB is actually one of my favorite companies now. The whole BB name, theme, etc. is silly... bastard... ok, whatever, move on... I'm a true marital bastard... nothing cool about it lol or even the other variants of meanings for the word bastard. Keep the name, quit making your own definition of bastard and focus on the product's passion for a good product. Cool name, no reason to justify it (let people define bastard for themselves) and be all artistic about it, it is annoying. You have a great product that you are passionate about and it shows. Focus on that.Anyhow, if you don't mind the added costs, the products seems pretty solid overall. I took off two stars for price and the fact this is not a full sample kit compared to many other fragrances offered with the company. Everything else in terms of their site, product presentation, quality of the product are awesome.

First off the bottles are very cool and nicely done along with the container, although I wish they would have included a dropper. The scents are lacking though, with some being overpowered and almost chemical smelling (barbershop) and others not being able to smell anything remotely close to what the description is (most others). The vanilla was decent and I used that with the paired balm, that is where this brand excelled, it was a very pleasant feel with my beard being softer than most other oils and balms I've used. So the product itself is great, it just doesn't smell very good.

This travel pack is great! The scents are incredible and pretty true to their names. I bought this set for my husband and he loves the scents too. My personal favorites were woodsman and opium den. I love the glass bottles and the design on them. These are perfect for packing for travel but also it was nice to be able to sample the scents before investing in the larger size when you've never smelled them before. Most other brands I shopped for didn't have an option like this. I am extremely happy with this purchase and will definitely buy from this brand again.

I bought this sampler pack based on a friend's recommendation. They are not my favorite. The consistency of the oil doesn't allow it to be absorbed into the beard and hair well. The two premium oils are markedly better quality than the standard, but I hate the smell of the barbershop oil. It has a medicinal quality that reminds me of baby powder with added camphor and mint. I do enjoy the woodsman and opium scents, but they are reminiscent of flavored pipe tobacco and don't smell as sophisticated or natural as I would like.I will not be buying these again. They just aren't for me. However, I've tried a number of beard oils and balms looking for something with a decent consistency, absorbance, aroma, and that won't leave me feeling greasy all day. My favorite so far is Viking Revolution.

I bought this for myself to try out beard oils after trying a competitor. Some of these scents are AMAZING. Made me want to try out their beard balms. The vanilla is my favorite, but some of these in here will really make you feel amazing.

I expected the scents to be much better but they are not awful. I did love the packaging!

I love the bearded bastard. The travel tin makes it easy to have everything in one place and have a different selection of scents

My husband bought these and says they're ok. They smell a little artificial.
