Superman Classic: Escape from the Phantom Zone (I Can Read Level 2)

Escape From The Phantom Zone is an I Can Read book specially made for children ages 4-8 just learning to read, and is based on DC Comics' three most popular Superheroes, Superman, the Last Son Of Krypton, Wonder Woman, America's Guardian Angel and The Batman, the Darkknight Detective! In this amazing adventure, Superman, Wonder Woman and The Batman are called to Metropolis to see if there's any trouble, only to find that three of the most dangerous criminals from the planet Krypton has broken free from the Phantom Zone, a device invented by Jor-El, Supes' birth father that imprisoned the galaxy's most violent offenders, and it is up to the DCU's Trinity of heroes to stop General Zod, Ursa and Non and send them back to the Zone. This story was a wonderful tribute to the late Christopher Reeve and the classic battles in Superman II. The best part of the book that Supes, Wondy, and Bats was wearing their classic "old school" DCU costumes and not their terrible New 52 counterparts. This book is just right for all fans of Superman, Wonder Woman and The Batman! :)

Nice book for my 4year old grandson. Most other Superman books are quite violent and too mature for him. Soon he will be learning to read so this book will also be one he can read himself before long.

We need more books with Wonder Woman, so I was happy she was in this book! B loves super heroes, but it's still hard to find Wonder Woman books. Perfect length for bed time, and great for getting B interested in reading!

My son loves these. Has us read them to him over and over and he likes to page through these recite them by memory.

This was actually a gift to a friend whom was having problems with his son that was having problems with reading. When he and his son went over it the boy actually started to enjoy reading more because it was reading that he actually wanted to read. Thanks again I CAN READ

I got a couple of these to encourage my nephews to read. Great idea for any kids who are remotely interested in superheroes (or if you want to encourage them to become a fan!). Available in different ability levels.

I am really impressed with the ( I can read ) range I purchases some for my little nephew who was trying to take my sons home. Little people will be amazed with them.

Bought for my grandson as he is 4 and a half and can read a few words, he loves it. he cannot read it by himself yet but loves it read to him. It is probably better suited for a 6 year old really as they could probably read it by by themselves
