I have been crafting (crocheting, embroidery, cross stitch, card making, etc) since I was about 8 years old and a tape measure is a vital necessity.I knew as soon as I saw the tape measure I knew it was the start of a new collection and there are, at present 2 sets of 4 animals (8 in total) to collect."Pups the Dog", as he has been named, is 5.5 cm wide by 4.5 cm by 1.3 cm deep.To use the tape you need to yank on the poor puddy's right ear (as he faces you).Inches are on one side and centimetres on the other.The tape is full retractable; you simply press the small button in the centre on the back, and watch your fingers as the snap back is very powerful.Sometimes it is nice to have things in your sewing kit that aren't just useful, but can make you smile too.

Very sweet little tape measure. I bought one each for my boys (aged 3 and 5) as they love to measure everything. My only criticism is that when you push the button on the back to make the tape retract it does so at such speed that quite often the animals ear will catch you on the thumb and is surprisingly painful! It certainly does the job intended but not as child friendly as I thought it might be.

This would have been ok if my son hadn't got hold of it and chewed the end off. Nice little tape measure for a craft box or similar.
