These screws are just what I was expecting, how great is that ?

The dark color does not scrape off and the screw heads don't sheer off like cheep screws will.

They are well made and the coating does not bugger off while screwing them into place

It's a screw that matches the specified dimensions. Most hardware like this seem to be made in China these days, and these are no different. So I'm sure there will be quality issues throughout the box, but the first 4 I used were fine. I took a star off bc I'm not buying that they are truly stainless steel. I definitely got some attraction with a magnet, which true stainless steel should not have.

Product okay but wrong size

As the item description states these are #6 x 1 1/2" wood screws in stainless steel with a black coating. The 5/8" of the screw closest to the head is not threaded, which is shown in the item photos. The threading is very fine for general purpose wood screws and seems finer than implied by the artwork in the item listing. The fine threading makes them not useful for the application I had in mind for them, though they'll be useful for something else, someday. Since they're nonferrous stainless steel your magnetic screwdrivers and driver bits won't hang on to them during installation. I feel compelled to note that these are not inexpensive for what they are. They're good quality screws, but not bargain priced for screws of their ilk.
