Love Metal

Apparently very good

Close, but yet it never quite reaches the potential it perhaps has. Dark, foreboding lyrics, classic gothic power chords, subtle keyboards, production layers piled upon other layers of excellent musicianship, but yet it doesn't quite have that 'je ne sais quoi' that puts it into the classic league. Now, if Tony Iommi was playing the guitars, and Meatloaf (or Ozzy) was singing then we'd be talking all-time classic. Nevertheless, the world moves on and new talent is fortunately coming through at last. This is a fine album and can be highly recommended to those of a heavier persuasion who don't get too worried by all the develish references.

Having inadvertently smashed my son's copy of this I was really grateful to be able to replace it. A talented Finnish Rock Band, enjoyed the 'retro' elements of their work. Arrived on time and New condition.

I'd never heard of this band until I heard Funeral of Hearts on the radio and then bought the CD Metal. I'm a great music fan but not particularly of metal music but this album is a cross between inteligent metal and melodic pop.If you like your music with energy then this album is for you as each track has a sence of urgency about it which makes it a fast and furious set.There is a sence of early 70's about their sound ( I was around at the time!)and reminds me of the Zep/Sabbath school in parts which is a good thing for those unfamilair or too young to remember the heyday of British metal. I appreciate good music and this band are professional and entertaining so give them a try.You won't regeret it!( does anyone think the lead singer looks like a young Marc Bolan?)

Great double L.P on Gold Vinyl and contains some amazing bonus tracks and the pressing quality is amazing

Good opening heavy guitar action, though the singer’s voice seems a bit light-weight for the feel of the album. They seem to be more-or-less in the same ball-park as ‘The Darkness’, though without ‘Justin Hawkins’ extreme high vocalisation. Generally, at the lighter end of the metal spectrum. Playing time is just under 52 mins with only the original ten tracks. All-in-all, though, a bit of a ’grower’

My second favorite HIM album other then Dark Light great stuff!
