Hortega H230030 500 ml Rust Remover - White

Read all the reviews but was a little sceptical as we have pale grey tiles on the patio (porcelain I think) We had dozens and dozens of rusty marks from our vintage iron table and chairs which looked awful, and nothing had worked. However, we sprayed on the product and almost instantly it goes purple....left it for ten mins...rinsed off with a hose pipe (no scrubbing) and as if by magic the stains had vanished! Just one or two tiny bits left but a second spray put paid to that. Absolutely amazing product, but beware it really smells and is very strong stuff so wear gloves, trousers/ and shoes as you wouldn't want it to get on your skin!

Worked well but needs to be left on for at least quarter of an hour to do its stuff.

Removed a rust ring several years old caused by leaving a wet cast iron lid on a granite work top overnight. Had tried other solutions non of which worked so was pretty skeptical this product would do the trick. Tested on a patch of the worktop pretty much hidden to make sure it wouldn't leave any lasting trace. Reassured it hadn't, applied it to the rust ring. Expected to leave the product for several hours but was amazed to see the rust ring completely disappear within minutes. Repeated the process on a second rust ring and that too disappeared as if by magic. Very impressed.

This removed a load of rust from our drive that had been put there by a skipAs it says elsewhere on the reviews for the item, the instructions are in german, but basically spray, let it do its job (it will turn purple), and then was it all away. It may take a couple of goes for deeply embedded stains, but works really well.

Arrived in good time but all the instructions arrived in German! Would have appreciated an English translation as now a trial and error approach to use! Not that helpful

Amazing product! All the toilets & showers in our house had turned brown because we have a lot of iron in our water. I just sprayed this on and left it for 15 mins then washed it away and what a huge improvement. I had to repeat it a number of times to get all stains off but now we have lovely white toilets and shower trays again.

Great product. Worked brilliantly at removing rust and fertiliser stains from Indian Sandstone patio. Spray on, stain turns purple, leave for 10 mins then power hose off. The purple stain will remain on the stone after washing but don't panic!!! Once it starts to dry the purple and rust stain totally disappear! Highly recommend this product.

Amazing. Natural stone. New. We manage to get rust on it. Spray on. Watch it go purple. Have mild panic. Re- read reviews (as German instructions), try and calm down. Leave to dry, respray a few times on stubborn spots, wash off. Repeat as necessary and be smug that you finally got rid of the rust :)
